▶️ Video Review: Leeds Bradford Airport Video Thread

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Great videos. I've watched the windy day (a few twitchy people flying down the back that day) and the snow scenes. I'll watch the others in the near future.

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

I spent 90 minutes up at LBA yesterday, here's a bit of HD video footage, taken from the graveyard...

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Nice one, where were you stood, and what camera / lens were you using? I have just invested in a zoom for my D90 but I haven't used it much as I'm always filming!

Anyway...I decided to do a little footage of runway comings and going yesterday afternoon from the comfort of my own home...the video clip below is the time period roughly 14:45 - 17:15, I missed a couple here and there but got the majority...enjoy...

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Great video as usual Galaxy! Sunday afternoons are becoming extremely busy these days. Was the Eastern Airways a Saab 2000?

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Was the Eastern Airways a Saab 2000?

Was this the aircraft on the Sunday-only from Aberdeen to Bristol via LBA?

Certainly a lot of aircraft in a sixty-minute period.

Beautifully clear shots.

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Thanks Aviador yes, managed to work out the reg G-CERZ and it is. Local Yokel there were plenty more leading up to and after that, which I missed as I had to go.

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Indeed, Eastern operated today with a Saab, G-CERZ which went nose out on stand 14. Sunday afternoons are hectic, the whole weekend has been a nightmare to be honest.

Re: Leeds Bradford Photo Thread

Video from yesterday, had a fantastic couple of hours in the cemetery in the sun as runway 14 was bring used, it's been over a year since i've been up there when they are using 14 and I'd forgotten all about the wind rush you get from landing aircraft! This footage also includes G-LSAK circling overhead before landing after having a radio problem shortly after it took off.

Were you sat on the wall with a girl that had a large SLR - looked like a Nikon?

No that wasn't me I was just along from them standing behind the wall. She did have a huge lens on that camera didn't she bet she got some great shots with that thing! Went to Manchester airport for the day yesterday a couple of Jumbo's there Virgin's Jersey Girl and a Cathay Pacific cargo plus a few 777's 767's and a330's - wish we had them at LBA.

Good catch, That video of the Qatar A320...

But got to say that the pilots looked to be struggling to turn the jet2.com Boeing 737-300 around at the end of runway 14. I bet them they opt take the 32/14 Loop next time..

At 2.00 there is the sound of the autopilot disconnecting coming from the cockpit, but as we know the PIA A310's don't do CAT3 autolands and runway 14 doesn't have autoland equipment anyway. Anyone know what it could be?? Autothrottle??

Could they have had Localiser hold on maybe? Its not full auto land but it keeps the aircraft on the centre line?
Or maybe they just had the AP on with no modes selected?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
