▶️ Video Review: Leeds Bradford Airport Video Thread

I came in Saturday afternoon in a shower and it was quite OK to be honest.

I went up Otley Chevin last night on a Geocache hunt, so did a bit of filming whilst there, there are some views of the runway and I managed to get the Eastern Airways Dash 8 just after take-off, I also got aerial footage of the KLM Fokker and a little Piper.

I can't get this one to play Galaxy.

Eastern Airways Dash 8? I thought they had gone and been replaced with Saab 2000's and Jetstream 41's? Did you mean Flybe Dash 8?

My mistake Heather, it was Eastern so must have been a Saab....I think!?

Nice video Galaxy. I've just done a 14 mile bike ride. We stopped off at the area where you filmed the shot of Otley at Surprise View. We had superb views today and we could easily see as far as Emley Moor a good 20 plus miles away.

If it's very clear, and you have good eyesight (or like me bad eyesight but glasses on!), you can see York Minster and a white horse on a hill.

That is the White Horse at Sutton Bank and yes, you can see York Minster, especially if the sun is shining on it.
Both can also been seen from Plane Tree Hill overlooking the airport.

Here's Wednesdays PIA coming and going.

Great video Galaxy, I'm debating heading up to LBA today on the bike. But it's also the first day of the footie season (YAY!!), so I am torn between my love for the beautiful game and my beloved Liverpool (and having a bike ride around Leeds), or my love for aircraft (and a longer ride). Decisions decisions....

😆

I say make the most of the good weather while it lasts. In a few weeks we'll be asking where did summer go!

Well, given the way your beloved Liverpool played, and the result, lets hope you picked the aircraft option! :nea:

I did, and when I checked the score, I was glad I did!

I went into the Multiflight area today for the first time, along that road. I'll be going there again as you can get great shots of the aircraft - although my camera didn't want to take pics of the PIA taking off, bloody thing :aggressive:

Todays, 18-Aug-2012, PIA776 flight taxing to Runway 32 for take off. Just a bit of the taxing stage.

Is there a way to film from Multiflight without getting the fence in the way, other than trying to poke your lens through the holes in the fence?

Unless you get permission to stand on a roof, there isn't as far as I could tell.

Not a lot of use there then, it's hard to hold the camera steady and move with the aircraft when poking it through the holes in the fence.
