RYR at LPL - Peak summer 2024
Looks like the Ryanair base at LPL will be 5x aircraft strong this summer, made up of 1x 7M8 and 4x 738s.
Just looking at a Monday in August and there's still a large gap on 1x B738 between 12pm and 7pm, suggesting another route or an increase on another may still be on the cards.

Another site is suggesting all 5 aircraft will be 738s now. Will be interesting to see how FR fill that gap.

Changed again, looks like there will.be a max, plus returning routes to Szczecin and Zadar.

The Max will also operate to Bergerac.

Ryanair are adding Liverpool to Budapest this winter. There are all sorts of routes they could have offered , but instead they are picking one occupied by Wizz.

It will be interesting to see what Ryanair's end goal is in all of this - get rid of as much as possible of Wizz from the UK and then cut back themselves, or are they using the opportunity as a genuine expansion opportunity. I think it will be the latter tbh as if they cut back then easyJet, and to a lesser extent Jet2, may step in. From a business perspective, all FR have done is identify a competitor currently in a weak position. No real difference to any other industry

Looks like Ryanair will also add a LPL-RAK route. This follows Easyjets recent announcement. I find it disappointing when they do this, when other unnerved destinations are available. 🤔

Very sad news

Two Ryanair pilots killed in road crash in England

The incident happened at 5.31am , there probably wasn't a huge amount of traffic at that time. Such a tragedy.

Ryanair are going to start LPL - RAK from 27 Oct on Thursdays and Sundays. Morning flight on a Thursday and evening flight on a Sunday. After weekend break business. They will be operating in competition with Easyjet. So from no flights to Marrakech we now have 2 operators, id have preferred one of the carriers going to Agadir, more of a balance......however, it's nice to see.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
