Great pics as usual Aviador. :good:

Off topic - I'm visiting family up in Hartlepool this weekend and combining it with going to the Sunderland Airshow on Sat and Sun - amongst the displays are the Red Arrows, Two Tornado's, a Typhoon and the BBMF. Both days are free if anyone is interested. I'll post some pics when I get back. Weather's going to be good too :yahoo:

Fab pics Aviador and a superb livery on the Cosmo A320, but when did taxiway delta move to final approach on runway 32? (See the caption for the Jet2 Holidays 757 just about to land)

Thanks for spotting that White Heather.

If on'ly you new the trouble I went to to get those pictures.

I can well imagine. Long grass, nettles and lots of mud spring to mind judging by where the photos were taken unless you took them from inside the airport boundary. Worth it though for results like that.

You're not wrong. I wasn't wearing Wellington Boots either which is not advisable. I probably ended up looking more like Worzel Gummidge afterwards but it was worth it. If anybody thinks of trying it, wellies are a must not an option. The dip going past the old grit store is beyond being just muddy, it's become a running stream these days. (I'm sure the golf course feeds the water onto the path :s_no )

Cosmo Airbus A320 at Leeds Bradford Airport by Aviador, hosted on Forums4airports.com

The footpath by the golf course has always been prone to flooding, I always make sure I have a pair of wellies in the boot. Last time I went down there was to take pictures of the LTE A320 that taxied off the edge of the runway about 6 years ago.

Which country is Cosmo from? I can't remember which country the registration LY comes from. Its an age thing - or a blonde thing. Or both. :sorry:

They are registered in Spain with HQ in Madrid. The aircraft is leased from Vilnius International, with it being registered in Lithuania. That particular aircraft is based at London Gatwick. A very confusing set up, but a lovely aircraft and delightful crew. The airline only started flying a matter of weeks ago.

Now don't shoot me down by saying there a little distant, i know that, i took these from Idle Transmitter on the over side of the valley, personally i thought they have come out quite well seeming there is a bit of a distance.

28x optical zoom used.

Lovely set of pictures Concorde Lover. I see you did some mileage around the airfield today. Did you remember your wellies?

I've posted some pics from yesterday on the LBA gallery. Quite knackering cycling from Leeds, along Otley road through Woodhouse and Headingley, then through Tinshill and Cookridge and along bridleways over the railway bridge which brought me out onto Scotland Lane. Too many inclines. :s_sad

The route back is a complete contrast - down hill to Rawdon, down hill to Horsforth, and down hill to Kirkstall before coming off the road and cycling along the canal back into Leeds. I love down hill.

I went for a cycle with a work mate and he talked me into using the bridge over the railway line that brings you out onto Scotland lane as a short cut. I ended up blathered in mud, I wasn't impressed. :diablo:

Your pictures were really good. We're getting a good selection of pictures in the LBA gallery now. :clapping:

Anyone else think that the first picture under General Aviation, by Concorde Lover, looks like a toy plane? Something to do with the perspective on that shot that does it.

Fantastic pictures :hatsoff:

Looks like there's some good vantage points around LBA, I'll have to arrange a trip up there soon.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
