Honestly, as someone who actually suffers from poor mental health, people like this actually rather annoy me. They have an issue, it’s easy to see, and therefore very easy to solve. It’s not like they would need to move out of the area, a little away from the airport at that range and the problem is pretty much gone

At the same time, with many issues, do not underestimate the power of mental health

Having suffered from periods of mental health problems throughout my life I totally agree. I was just trying to make the point that very often these groups raise any and every issue in support of their case whether it’s true or not.

From a selfish perspective I have been very fortunate not to suffer from.mental health issues. However as a Team Manager of just over 20 staff it is so important to be aware of all things, not just mental health, that can affect anyone. As a further example we have lots of women who are of a certain age and Menopause is a huge area for awareness. My point being it is so vital that we are all aware of things that affect others - especially as these are not always visible, but can still impact on performance when it is beyond that person's direct control. It is so good, even on here, that members are feeling confident enough to discuss and mention openly struggles they have had. That should be applauded

It's been announced that on 24th June, the fully restored Avro Anson, which which was built by Avro at Yeadon in 1943, and allocated to the RAAF, will be stopping off at LBA en route to Breighton, where it is due to undertake various ground runs with paying passengers. Information on FB ' Bringing Annie home'.

This will be the first Anson to return to its birthplace in donkeys years so bound to attract a lot of interest.

Labour have lost control of the council, mainly because the Greens and Reform have had significant gains, so increased Reform and Green impact on decision making I assume.

Not good if the Greens have more say as they are opposed to all airport expansion plans.

Fortunately, the CLEUD outcome is beyond the influence of councillors. I understand LBA are meeting with the council next week when the likely outcome may become clearer. Winning is now more important than ever given the extra Green Councillors. The last thing LBA will want is to have to submit a planning application. That said, some of the deposed Labour councillors opposed LBAs new terminal.

Incidentally, the Labour deputy leaders reward for meeting with G***A was to lose his seat, although my suspicion is that he was just going through the motions in doing so. Whatever action he might have planned, he wont be doing it now.

For planning applications, it will ultimately be detrmined by the make up of the Plans Panel, and particularly how many Greens are on it. They wont have it all their own way. What the Labour and Reform Councillors think will be crucial, along with the official council policy relative to airport development.

Labour have also now lost control of neighbouring council Bradford with Reform taking 29+ seats.
