good lets hope they are all cat 3A equipped looking at the current weather
Can't imagine that a Neo wouldn't be, and they were brilliant last winter at getting into LBA in fog . All the 737s seem to be getting in ok except one positioning flight from EMA.thats doing doughnuts at 8000 feet despite the Viz being 500m. according to FR24..

The 733 from EMA landed. A Ryanair just gone in and next up is the NEO from Bucharest OTP.

My understanding is that all Airbus aircraft are CAT3A/B certified and come as standard with the necessary avionics. The 737NG/MAX are similarly certified but the required avionics equipment is optional so many 737’s in service in practice aren’t CAT3 capable.

So do the cuts listed above amount to 10% ?

Whether they do or don't amount to 10% I am still of the opinion there is much more to this. I am sure engine issues are being used as a convenient excuse. I so hope I am wrong, but..........

Wizz have announced a profit of €523m in the first 6 months of the 23/24 fiscal year, and have secured substantial damages regarding the problems with P&W jet engines in their NEOs. As a result if this, they will have 45 NEO aircraft grounded at the start of 2024, and the disruption is expected to continue in to 2025, with little growth forecast, although they are due to take delivery of 24 new NEOs over the next 12 months.

Profit indeed but will be interested to know how many CCJs etc. are still outstanding as suspect those could put a big hole in that figure. Still not convinced we have the full story here but hope I am wrong and more than happy to be proved so
Here you go finger66…..l

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
