Yep fully aware of the Engine Issues, it would be interesting to see the % of cuts around other UK airports if any. I know EDI & BRS are canned, so we have to be grateful they're still here. but find x2 weekly on all routes very underwhelming, considering some are x4 this summer. Hoping for more.

My understanding is that virtually all LBA flights are full or nearly full, especially from Romania. The engine issues were stated to result in cuts of 10% across the board lasting for over a year. No doubt as aircraft are taken out of service, others will be moved around to fill gaps, leaving some bases short on numbers.

You would think that services with full/nearly full bookings would be prioritised over others and we would have benefitted at the expense of less well performing routes at other airports.

Wizz will have data from previous seasons about which routes perform best, not just in terms of how full flights are, but what yields are like on certain routes.

Also worth considering that due to the distance of the flights, it may not have been route A vs route B, but routes A&C vs route B, as routes A&C are shorter flights that can be done in the same amount of time as route B.

I for one am disappointed with Wizz’ offering. If as stated the routes doing better then DSA then why such cuts. Hope more gets more added and Vilnius is also added.
All flights from BHX on sale inc Wroclaw, so looks like LBA maybe loosing two destinations

You'd have thought they would have learned from last winter...
You would, but it might be expecting too much for them to plan schedules to accommodate the quirks of every airport they fly into. In our case 'ideally' we want them not too early (fog), not too late (quota) and not at busy times of the day inbetween

The good thing though is Wizz seem pretty good in low viz, so maybe early mornings wont be an issue.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
