Landing at CWL.

That could be the reason, but many aircraft from abroad have flown direct to St Athan before.
St Athan does have restricted ATC so if they arrived at night so may well have had to go to CWL first.

ALK Airlines MD82 has arrived from Dublin and is overnighting and operating to Lourdes at 15.30 tomorrow.

About 4 hours ago Cardiff had a Bombardier Global 6000 from Netjets land. It arrived from Hangzhou in China. So possibly the first direct flight from China and maybe even the longest direct flight into CWL. Credit SWAG for the info!

BMI Emb 145 due into CWL from LGW this Friday bringing in Brighton and Hove Albion. It's a Bristol based machine that will position out of BRS ~ lunchtime on the Friday so that will most likely mean the BRS base is one unit down for the PM shift.

Given that there are normally at least 6x based E135/E145 at BRS, there will be enough slack to ensure the schedule can still operate as normal.

Flew BA from Larnaca into LHR on Sunday night , as we landed the captain wished us the usual safe onward journey. He also mentioned the Boeing 767 G BZHB we travelled on, was making its last few flights and was off to South Wales on Nov 26 . Is this St Athan or the maintenance facility .? Thanks

St Athan. Only chance of seeing it at CWL is if it has to divert.
I did see a post the other day on SWAG Facebook and St Athan looked impressively full!

Thanks, I did not know that B A used St Athan, thought it was Kemble. Good to see them busy, will help the local economy and success breeds success.

They have retired quite a few aircraft there over the years they go to ecube to be broken up. They also used Cardiff Aviation to do some work on the 767s earlier in the year as well but it was done by BAMC staff.

With the amount of B767 and B757.being taken out of passenger service for quite some time now,the B787 family which replaces the B767 and the A321 replacing the B757 there must be a lot of new aircrafts delivered or airlines cutting sizes of fleets.Be a shame to see the B767 and B757 disappear. Both great aircrafts.

The 767 is slowly getting replaced by more modern aircraft but there are still plenty about especially with the US3 and cargo airlines are fond of them as well and there was an A net rumour that United were looking at new 767s but idk if anything came of that.
It is a shame Boeing never did a 757 8 version but i'm guessing they were hoping 787 was going to replace it.

The B737 9 was to be the B 757 replacement but that did not sell as much as Boing wanted it to.Airlines loved the B 757 as it was perfect for short runways and they also had uprated brake systems. All of Air2000 were bought second hand, and the Britania B757 were bought new frames. The parcel companies love both types of aircrafts.

30/11/18 Czech Airlines arriving at 11.10 from Prague and departing 12.00 back to Prague. I don't know the reason for this movement.

It possible that the Czech Airlines flight which was operated by an A319 was a charter connected to the BBC National Orchestra for Wales.

Titan Airways will be operating to Ivalo on the 6th December departing at 8am.

Travel Service Airlines B737-800 (OK-TST) which is wet-leased to CSA Czech Airlines arrives from Prague at 3:15pm as CSA7106 and departs back to Prague at 4:00pm at CSA1107

Titan Airways A320 (G-POWM) due in empty from London Luton at around 5:00pm this evening. It will overnight and depart to Ivalo tomorrow morning at 8:00am.

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
