Sceptical about how significant the terminal facilities are/will be in respect of future KL ops at LBA. However, I agree that T3 should indeed be given the benefit of the doubt in this situation. I note BRS have been seeing the use of T3 E170s on some of their AMS rotations.
BRS is now an Eastern base. There are as I understand it more to follow.

There will be due to the extra Embraers they are getting. If you perhaps rule out EDI, GLA and MAN doesn't leave too many more current KLC overnighting airports does it? Wonder how much involvement/investment KL are going to have in T3. It's certainly a subject that is getting us all talking - no bad thing there either by the way

I think the purchase into T3 is wishful thinking on the part of those of us who are saying it. But you never know, Eastern have clearly been costing up to AF/KLM group for quite some time so you never know what Mr Lake might have up his sleeve. He certainly knows how to make money though, that’s for sure!

Well, this isn't going to help at all! It seems that the Dutch are doing their best to drive down demand for flights into AMS. You have to wonder how long it can maintain it's position given the increased restrictions and now a 37% increase in fees.

Stated on the DFF this morning that PH-EZZ one of the rumoured E190s for T3, is back in service with KLM. Oh how we can continue to guess what is really going on here.

It looks like AMS-CWL is staying at 14 weekly flights next summer with no overnighter so is this a route primed for T3 next with W's? Or will it go back to 20/21 weekly and be a T3 based I wonder, or is it a reflection on what is going on in AMS.

Are we generally going to see fewer regional flights but perhaps on bigger aircraft?

Seems like this all has a bit to run just yet

I hope not, considering CWLs history with Eastern i personally would rather they stay away especially on a route like Amsterdam. Hopefully in the future CWL will regain the night stopper with KLM metal.

Out of curiosity just checked how the Eastern Embraer is getting on with its Teesside-Leeds-Newcastle- Bristol trips to/from Amsterdam.

Its last rotation is due in at Bristol 22:10 and is showing ETA of 21:54.
Yes. One day though. Lots of days to come. Lots of weather to come too. And the odd tech issue. I hope they do ok and are equipped to cover the occasional problem without the need to cancel.

I’ve been hearing a lot of KKM adverts flying from LBA worldwide of Spotify recently, good to hear!
They are also on Classic FM Movies channel (Global Player) along with numerous ads for Jet2, all of which specifically say Fly from Leeds Bradford. Clearly the ads are regional but still good.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
