737/800 SP-ESD(Enterair 3158) being vectored for CAT3 ILS, runway 32(2205)
Delayed flight from Enontekio.
Presume due to closure he will now have to stay overnight.

Well 2+ bases Ryanair's are running in late tonight so might be staying open for a bit longer. EI-EJB is due in at 22:30 on the FR156 from Dublin whilst EI-EBO is due in at 22:56 on the FR2483 from Riga.
Riga has made the time up and had began its descent into LBA due in at 22:31. Won’t think they’d close they runway on them with one minute to spare!

If the flights are due in the not too distant future they don't close the airport and send them over the hill, they wait for their arrival. If the delay is significant though and it means a real delay in the contractors starting on the airfield lighting, then they have to divert.

Last night I was on duty and I don't think the runway contractors did anything. I saw all their vehicles gathered on taxiway Delta at about 11pm but I didn't see any of them anywhere on the airfield afterwards.

Perhaps it was a team meeting to decide if if was worth starting in view of the snow forecast. Perhaps not worth starting only to have to stop again if the snow arrives.

Dornier 328 G-CCGS(Loganair 840) being vectored onto ILS, runway 32(1830)
Inbound from Norwich with Norwich City who play Leeds Untied tomorrow.
We, however now have heavy snow showers at the airport.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
