737/800 EI-FRP(Ryanair 7) positioning in from Manchester, being vectored onto ILS, runway 32(1935)

Its positioned into cover this evening's LBA-DUB/DUB-LBA FR157/156 rotation as the is no aircraft here to operate it it before the runway night Closure kicks in.
This is due to LBA based Boeing 737-800, EI-EMM going tech down route after operating the FR2322 service to Murcia Corvera, hence the is a big delay with return FR2323 service which is now being operated by replacement Boeing 737-800, EI-EMK and is expected at 22:25.

I have just seen EI-EMK come in which according to the system was working Athens - Stansted. Any clues??? Also, JZBS just over Coniston as I write this.

We lost 2+ Ryanair flights last night due to delays, hence them missing the runway night closure.

  • Boeing 737-800, EI-EMK Diverted to Liverpool operating the delayed "FR2323" service from Murcia Corvera. As noted earlier she repositioned to Leeds this moring as "RYR15"
  • Boeing 737-800, EI-DHB operating the delayed "RYR156" from Dublin also ended up diverting into Manchester

A football team from the Algarve....don’t think so plus there are no games this week its the next round of the FA Cup.
Many teams from the UK go out to train in the warm weather of places like the Algarve especially during FA cup weeks if they aren't involved. Dubai is also a popular destination for them as well. It could even be a non football team ie a rugby league team.

Hudderfield Town going for a break with their new manager
Not long since they went for a similar break with their old manager!! Perhaps they need to spend more time here and less on away breaks if they want to avoid the drop in May? That doesn't bother me at all although they are responsible for the occasional nice visitor to LBA, and I will miss that!

I think we will have to resign ourselves to the fact we won't be getting an PL teams flying in for HTAFC, but there may be a ready made replacement in the offing. That's one for all you LUFC fans out there. Ouch, saying the latter part of that really hurt, especially after the cheery thought on the first bit - football related rather than LBA related of course

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
