Gdansk,Katowice and Poznan were all down 1 flight a week in March.
Will Soon see if the downward trend is going to continue when we hit May as the summer flights have no change... Not Forgetting Ryanair has it's flights from LBA too.
But at least we will get some pluses in April!
CAA Provisional Statistics March 2011Update
And it gets slightly Worse...
March has seen another bad month
Number of Flights- 315 down 0.9%
Total Passengers 39989 -Down 4.3%
Top 5...
Ryanair Alicante...
Just seen this article in the Doncaster Free Press
Online Version: http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/new ... _1_3277666
Quite a funny article made Page 5 in the Donny Free Press Today :)
In the article it says that the Summer Only timetable will continue as planned...
I presume this is the rumour we are on about. I don't see Wizz exiting DSA for quite some time yet.
Wizz keep adding new routes from here Vilnius and the reintroduction of Wroclaw Flights last year.
We retained 2 Warsaw flights when many other airports lost there Warsaw flight with Wizz this...
The Manchester One would be part of HS2 as the line folks nr Birmingham to give a Manchester branch and a Leeds branch
I believe HS1 is the line running up to the Channel Tunnel on the eurostar sevice
Around Two Thirds will be offset
One week in August will have
1512 seats from New Ryanair (Faro,TFS)
720 seats from New Wizz(Vilnius)
800 seats from New Thomas Cook (PMI,Antalya)
1722 seats from Additional Capacity from Thomson (This is on 737-800 replacing 737-300 on 3 flights a day)...
I knew that it was pulled a while back I was just on here and thought i should add it as i could not see it.
Hopefully Thomson will be able to fill up their flights..
Just a note to add that the originally planned Nouvelair flight to Enfidha for thomas cook seems to of been axed..
Shame but probably since the unrest there it might of been difficult to fill the 2x TOM and the Nouvelair too.
Flybe have started to release some flights from DSA there is only at the moment 5x weekly BHD only released until 6th Jan
Arr.11:20 Dep.11:45 So same awkward times for business travellers.
Hopefully More to come!
Top 5... for Feb 2011
Tenerife South 3939 up 33%
Katowice 3331 down 27%
Alicante 2663 down 40%
Sharm El Sheikh 2371 down 19%
Gdansk 2279 down 35%
Not the airport's best February.. far from it.. bring on summer that's what i say.
Loads did go down in November 2010 but that is just one month and you can't really calculate Decembers Accurately due to all the snow disruption.
Year Pax Freq MaxPax Avrg.Load Factor
2010 2348 2x 3240 72%
2009 3848 3x 4680 82%
There will be no increase to Poland, but Wroclaw is up 1 flight a week but this is off-set by a reduction by 1 flight a week on the Warsaw but by the sounds of it we were lucky to keep the route because of cut backs at Warsaw as some other airports did not retain the route.
So
Gdansk is 4x...
I believe the only long-stay car parks for robin hood is the ones opposite.
But there is no real need yet for off site car parks like at Manchester and elsewhere.
As well as the Jersey Flights! that should push the number up above Jan 09
Top 6 Destinations for Jan 10
Top 6 percent change
KATOWICE 4391 -17.7
GDANSK 3415 -17.6
