In that case it's bonkers.
I can think of an intimate area of Gove’s body where applying more than gentle pressure might get us the right result! This whole situation is actually quite comical and beggars belief. The new terminal is a no brainer compared to the alternative. But agree it's good to see alternative plans being pushed forwards which as you say may just apply some gentle pressure in the right areas
A bag of something may also workI can think of an intimate area of Gove’s body where applying more than gentle pressure might get us the right result!
God please no. The roads are enough of a nightmare without those wasters causing more mayhem!!I'm wondering when GALBA will become Insulate Leeds.
How can they seriously become Insulate Leeds when they are fighting a carbon neutral and very well insulated terminal, forcing the airport instead to use a terminal that's as far from green as it's possible to get!God please no. Unfortunately that’s how they operate and don’t see the benefits as they’re not that intelligent. I’m mind boggled by their opinions to the new terminal to but unfortunately they jump on the usual Environment bandwagon and presume it’s expansion. I’m with you though I don’t get why they’re against. Just from a fact they’re aviation haters. How can they seriously become Insulate Leeds when they are fighting a carbon neutral and very well insulated terminal, forcing the airport instead to use a terminal that's as far from green as it's possible to get!
Was thinking exactly the same. It will serve all GALBA and other objectors right...they will have certainly kicked themselves in the foot!Clever move and this will certainly rattle cages. It will serve GALBA right to get the growth anyway and a dirty old terminal with yet another extension. Their objections will have resulted in a gain of nothing and not only won't there be a new carbon neutral terminal, there won't be the huge tree planting offset that was part of the new terminal proposal.
Talk about own goal! Complete mugs and now in check, with checkmate the next move for LBA.
Probably only me on here who doesn’t have to google who Yann is!Wonder if Yann Songo’o is a member of GALBA as he has already had one own goal this week! Why is it only ourselves that see this as a no brainier. It’s a perfect opportunity for the government to prove they are committed to greener things. If not approved, as we know, the alternative less green option happens!

What has amazed me about the whole thing is the fact that several MPs openly opposed the project. Especially the MP for York, a city that thrives on tourism so to have a better, welcoming and impressive terminal to arrive into Yorkshire must be a good thing. Imagine foreign visitors, for example Americans deciding they would like to visit York and other attractions and then checking on the best way to get there! "Well Leeds has an airport which is near but you probably will have to fly to Manchester first then drive 70 odd miles over the Pennines!" they are told. And even if they came via LBA would the experience impress them about coming to Yorkshire? How much better a modern airport, with good connections -airport station to York,
This is a project worthy of full support, especially as it is addressing environmental concerns.
