Just so I am clear, we are all fully expecting them to be out of bhx as of the end of Summer, never to return?

One has to wonder if there is any way back for them now?

I think people had sympathies for their predicament with aircraft delays and although annoyed most were willing to forgive. This is one step beyond though and they are now cancelling peoples holiday flights at very short notice. Many of these may be families who have worked hard all year to save for their well earned week or two in the sun only to have it now in doubt.

Social media makes for some grim reading.

Someone even copied in BHX on Twitter... It really wouldn't surprise me if BHX have had a serious word with them from a management perspective.

Although we'll never know the details it would be interesting to hear some of the conversations that may have gone on over the last few months.

This Twitter account is an interesting read.

Any chance of a summary so long as copyright is not infringed? I'm not a member of Twitter so can't access the link. Thanks.

In summary.....You have cancelled my flight and nobody is helping me.......flight cancelled and I'm stuck in Toronto.......I've been on the phone for 90 minutes only to be cut off, this is the third time that I've tried.......I've sent more than 50 emails over the last few weeks but am still waiting for a reply.......I'm still waiting for my flight refund from May.......I've just found out that my holiday flight in two weeks has been cancelled, what do I do?

Some sample Tweets

flight cancelled, 2 weeks and not even a reply about a refund!!! cant cliam on my travel insurance ebceuse they wont even reply, terrible service!

What do your customers have to do to get a response from you? Absolutely disgusting

I’m still waiting on a reply to my email sent nearly a month ago. Can you sort it out please

@bhx_official how can you allow a company that treats its customers in a disgusting way @primeraair fly from Birmingham causing issue for passengers

The big question is where the hell are the CAA...they are the regulator yet seem to be doing nothing..the claims for refunds and EU 261 have been ignored for months now. They can't be unaware,surely..yet so many people suffering, holidays ruined and no apparent action from those with the power to do anything....

Clearly not cash flush as well as being run on the cheap... appalling mess...were good at charter operations but the move to scheduled operations is clearly too much for them... sympathy to all those affected, including all their staff

Interestingly most of the short haul ones are sold out from Stansted as well. Are they pulling out of short haul from the UK altogether I wonder...

They should have just stuck with London Stansted n kept their reputation intact. Made a total mess of their BHX operations. Glad in a way at least other people wont have their holidays ruined.

71 pages....what are we going to talk about now?

The sad thing is I knew from the start this would end in disaster! But what’s even more disheartening is the fact that I read a few trip reports about the transatlantic A321neo flights and all in all it didn’t seem that bad and could’ve just work out at BHX had Primera got their house in order!

I wonder if BHX will issue a statement like they did when they cancelled TATL flights and advised passengers it did not effect the Primera Air short haul operations.

 indeed Ray

This is Birmingham so, rather than getting one of Europe's two biggest airlines to finally start giving us some serious growth, we'll end up with another calamity coming along in due course.

It's only a matter of time

Indeed. Rumour has it new start up airline FlyBrum are setting up shop at BHX taking up the x6 A380s Malaysia Airlines are trying to offload. First routes are reportedly Dushanbe, Erbil, Kiev, Reykjavik, Tashkent and Yerevan!

I wonder if this could be just them focusing on Scandanavia for the winter and if they might come back in the summer? Did they launch any S19 flights?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
