Using Jet2 flights by the looks.

I do know Jet2 operate Boeing 737-800s on the majority of its Balkan Holidays winter charters from UK airports down to Sofia

But I wonder if Jet2 will opt to use the smaller Boeing 737-300's on this as it looks like its just testing the route, seen as it's operating over such a short period?

Well if using the smaller 300s help prove it's viability then I am still all for It, especially as something is better than nothing

It seems sensible to me to use the smaller 300 srs. If bookings are good, they will be able to upgrade to 800srs, at that time of year.

Danny Jones on Yorkshire Spotters is reporting that Balkan Holidays will be using a Boeing 737-400 reged LZ-PRS operated by new Bulgarian airline "JetSky Airways" on the Leeds - Bourgas service this summer instead of the European Air Charter Airbus A320's which we've had visiting for the past 2 summers..

It's 3 years younger than some of the Jet2 757s and even when withdrawn they always look mint.

See BOJ airport is to close for most of this month mainly for runway repairs. On top of of a B734 to operate the flights - what could possibly go wrong! On a serious note though it's good to see the investment in BOJ and let's hope BH have a successful and uneventful season

I can see it not being long before BH start taking seats on LS flights. Possibly less risk too than a 33 year old B734 me thinks
