Yes its great news airblue have picked LBA over MAN but with a huge pakistan community here in west yorkshire now which makes up a large percentage of the overall population esp in bradford, Keighley and other local towns it makes total sense. connections to pakistan from LBA is definitely a market i feel the airport should focus on.
As stated in the article. They advertised for staff at both LBA and MAN but if the article is correct the flights start at LBA first. Whether the first MAN flight is the next day, the next week or the next month, we will have to wait and see
They've been gone a while now but I've seen several Pakistani publications saying they plan to start in November. Hope they are Cat 3 capable and do low cloud and crosswinds!
Aren't the timings supposed to be a mid afternoon departure so bad weather slightly less likely.
Not the best time of year to start a new service.
It is just how the Pakistani airlines operate. They could just start next week, that's just how they do things.
Maybe now PIA are back in the mix they have had 2nd thoughts.
PIA have always been back in the mix. Its been known they would get approval to recommence UK ops for months.
