Back at the end of July, I flew London Heathrow to Las Vegas with BA in World Traveller (economy) on the A350-1000 (G-XWBO), and thought I’d share the experience.

Overall, I came away really impressed, especially as those who know me well know of my "love/hate" relationship with BA.

The catering was surprisingly good, the crew were extremely friendly and attentive, and it was a reminder that when BA gets it right, they really can deliver a memorable flight. For a long-haul hop in economy, this one stood out for the right reasons.

The video covers the whole journey from check-in at LHR through to landing in LAS, including seat comfort, IFE, meals, and some nice little touches along the way. There’s even a small “bonus” from the business class cabin mid-flight.

Flight Details:

📍 Route: London-Heathrow (LHR) – Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)

✈️ Aircraft: A350-1000 (G-XWBO)

💺 Cabin: Economy (World Traveller)

⌛ Flight Time: 10 hours, 20 minutes

💷 Redemption: 35,000 Avios + £150 taxes/fees

Video chapter highlights:

• Check-in and Heathrow experience at Terminal 5

• Club Aspire Lounge T5 - a really POOR experience!

• Boarding and seat tour, in the forward 5 row economy cabin

• Drinks and first meal service, a mushroom rigatoni with cheese, cream and crispy spinach (such a good dish!)

• IFE impressions

• Snack service & second meal (chicken anticuchos, garlic roast potatoes, vegetables)

• Descent, arrival and final thoughts

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
