Leeds Bradford: Weather & Technical Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Jet2 seem to be having a field day, LS257 to Palma departed almost 3 hours late with G-JZHF, LS447 to Zakynthos departed over an hour late with G-JZBW, LS205 is being operated by A321 G-HLYA
Airbus A321 G-HLYA is due in from MAN this morning at 1028, so presumably something based has gone tech. What, remains a mystery as FR24 hasn't yet made up its mind which outbound flight is being operated by the A321.
FR seems to have sorted itself out now. G-HLYA is due to depart Manchester for Leeds at the revised time of 10.30. It’s then down to operate LS205 to Ibiza departing at 11.25 (approx 2h 30m late). It’s then shown as flying from Ibiza to Luton, Luton to Ibiza before finally returning to LBA, departing Ibiza at 22.05. Nothing shown after that but could well be staying overnight?
Thought I'd bring these posts in as they contain the relevant details

G-GDFT, G-JZBZ, G-DRTE and G-JZBL are still on the ground from last night - I'd say with reasonable confidence G-GDFT and 2 of the B738s have probably gone tech

JZBL JZBZ are currently tech

GDFT is serviceable and planned to operate the Malaga this afternoon.

G-JZHF went tech this morning then picked up a big slot once it was able to go.

To add it been one of the worst days I’ve seen for tech aircraft.

B733 G-GDFT unfortunately remains tech and didn’t go to plan although they still have it down to operate the Malaga assuming it passed its engine runs

B733 G-GDFM went tech after arriving from Faro this afternoon.

B738 G-DRTU went tech after its arrival from Lanzarote meaning it delayed the Tenerife flight which has now departed using B738 G-JZBI

G-JZBL went tech this morning whilst loading up for Zaknythos. Then its replacement B738 G-JZBW did operate to Zakynthos but returned to stand just as it was preparing to return to LBA and is overnighting there.

B738 G-JZBZ did return to service after a test flight and is currently operating the Bourgas flight

Believe they’re sending B738 G-JZHD from Manchester to operate the 17:45 Palma flight

A321 G-HLYA has also been drafted in to operate the Ibiza-Luton W-leg flight this morning.

Hopefully a better day tomorrow.

G-JZBZ did a test flight yesterday over the Irish Sea and another one today over the North Sea. All must now be well as it’s currently on its way to Burgas on LS281. Apologies CM as I didn’t see your post regarding G-JZBZ before posting.

Situation normal!

Jet2 B738 operating LS210 HER-LBA diverted to Athens due to a tech issue believe it’s overnighting at Athens

G-GDFM has just taken off (16.52) as EXS050B on what looks like its fourth test flight. Looks like it could be heading out over the North Sea. Hopefully it’s sorted now.
No still unserviceable as after its test flight yesterday it was towed over to Multiflight for work there

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
