It’s still definitely leaving MAN for DGX tomorrow as flight plan is in system for 10;55 departure as “EXS75AI”
Well that stinks! People will turn out at MAN to watch her depart, yet again LBA misses out, apparently due to the safety of the public wanting to watch it. There wont be 60,000 out watching, just a few admirers I guess.

I am WFH so was looking forward to it flying passed!

It's not just the safety of the public. It is the safety of the aircraft, the airlines reputation, the crew who will be operating into and out of LBA - who will be skill faded as it was 2020 the last time a 757 operated into LBA on a regular, not adhoc, regular basis. Given the weather too - I think it is the best decision made all around. As much as even I don't want that to happen. I want it to LBA but you know .. decisions been made by Jet2 and we as supporters of LBA have to support that.

I agree with your sentiment, hell I went as far as to even book the day off work,

But I totally understand the reasons behind Jet2 decision to cancel the LBA flypast on this occasion due for the safety reasons given.

Appreciate the response, however the aircraft was apparently doing a fly by, so not even a touch and go, so still airborne. Surely if they can fly a 757 they can fly a low approach?
That's like getting a bigger car that you are not familiar with, that will be tight to get in the garage, but I am not parking it in the garage, just on the drive!:):):)

That was the plan but it changed.

I think you underestimate the ability and skill of the pilots.

The decision to cancel the 757 fly by because of the weather conditions seems more like the sort of decision the police would ask for, because they expected a significant number of enthusiasts to turn up and, quite honestly, if they had done, it would probably have been carnage as there is nowhere safe to park. Car parks are still thick with snow and roadside parking difficult without creating blockages. I wouldnt be at all surprised if Jet2 were asked to cancel. The sad thing is that the weather was perfect for a fly by with good visibility and little wind.

As i said above though there wouldn't have been concorde numbers so would it really have been that bad? I was happy to watch it approach from my loft room and then see her climb away from the velux at the opposite side. Wasn't going out in this haha

I agree, but it seems that they weren't going to risk it. Sad really. There was certainly no valid flying reason to cancel the fly by. Good visibility, no wind, and even the ILS working.

Which links to the car park discussion in the other thread. It’s fine if your runway and taxi way is operational but if your customer and staff car parks are not in order then it seems pointless.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
