Over 170,000 customers will travel with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays this weekend (Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July), making it the busiest weekend that the airline and tour operator have operated in their entire history.
The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator will operate more than 800 flights in total over the weekend, taking hundreds of thousands of customers to and from over 60 destinations in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands. On Saturday (22nd) alone, 450 flights will operate as customers make the most of the start of the summer holidays.
When it comes to the destinations customers are jetting off to, Majorca, Tenerife and Faro (Algarve) are the three most popular destinations. Destinations across the Balearics, Canaries, Mainland Spain, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Malta are also proving incredibly popular with holidaymakers looking to enjoy some well-deserved sunshine.
This summer marks Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ biggest ever summer programme, with 15.5 million seats on sale for Summer 23 – a capacity increase of over 7% when compared to Summer 22.
Customers travelling with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays can be assured of receiving the companies’ industry-leading customer service it is known for when booking and travelling on their well-deserved holidays this summer.
To provide customers with an award-winning friendly service and give them the extra assurance that they are in the best hands when they travel, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have a very visible uniformed presence in place (referred to as the Red Team) in UK airports as well as in main overseas airports and in resorts.
The companies’ commitment to delivering this customer-first strategy means they continue to receive positive feedback from both customers and independent travel agents. As a result, they have been awarded a number of accolades for their customer service both on the ground and in the air. This includes Which? Travel Brand of the Year 2023 as well as last week being the highest rated airline and tour operator in the July 2023 UK Customer Satisfaction Survey (UKCSI) survey.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The start of the summer holidays marks the beginning of the peak summer season, so this time of year is traditionally always a busy time for us. However, this demand combined with our continued growth means that this year we will have a record-breaking weekend, and it will be our busiest Saturday and Sunday ever in Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ history. Whether it is families, couples, groups or solo travellers, our data shows that all types of customers are very eager to get some much-needed summer sun.”
He added: “Despite it being a bumper summer, our team will be in place and ready to welcome customers who are heading away on their much-needed holidays. Our commitment to providing this first-class customer service will not waver as the peak summer holiday season begins, and we roll out our biggest ever summer programme of flights and holidays. Holidaymakers can be assured that their holiday will be memorable for all the right reasons when they travel with us this summer, and we look forward to showcasing to customers why we are an award-winning airline and tour operator.”

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
