Good work there @Stagman.

As yiu may be aware I produce monthly statistics for a number of UK airports, based on the CAA data and was thinking of expanding my listing, but I'm delighted to see you taking on the MME reports.

I'm looking at adding EDI & HUY to my catalogue.

Tees Valley Combined Authority purchased Teesside Airport from Peel in Feb 2019.
A 10 year business plan was put forward. So take 2019 as first year of new ownership, which saw passenger numbers increase by about 10,000 in the first year. Then Covid hit thus halting progress in figures for 2 years.

Let's have a look at how much improvement on that first year.

So far:

Calendar Year 2019 / 2022 January-November
Aircraft Movements:
15,653 / 18,986 +3,333
Terminal Passengers:
136,624 / 162,014 +25,390

Financial Year 2019-20 / 2022-23 April-November
Aircraft Movements:
11,919 / 15,105 +3,186
Terminal Passengers:
105,136 / 146,816 +41,680

So with 4 months results still left to come in for the Financial Year. It certainly looking good progress considering how much of an impact that Covid has had.

CAA December Airport Statistics:

Aircraft Movements 1,333
Terminal Passengers 10,992

Aberdeen 1,535
Belfast 638
Amsterdam 5,856
Alicante 2,528

Dublin 61
Pajala 374

So far:
Calendar Year 2019 / 2022
Aircraft Movements:
16,746 / 20,319 +3,573
Terminal Passengers:
147,824 / 173,006 +25,182

Financial Year 2019-20 / 2022-23
Aircraft Movements:
13,012 / 16,438 +3,426
Terminal Passengers:
115,946 / 157,738 +41,792

So for the calendar year it has seen the best passenger figures since 2011, it would have been much closer to 2011 figure if it wasn't for the slow start to the year. Best aircraft movement figures since 2016.
But the financial year really shows the growth and could be the best results since 2010-11 or come very close to it.

KLM Amsterdam has been running twice a day giving good confidence which has been noticed in increase of numbers. Once it gets back to three a day it will certainly help boost overall passenger figures.

So how close will we be to the 200,000 mark for the financial year.

Calendar Year
Aircraft Movements:
2018 - 16,950 (Last year of Peel ownership)
2019 - 16,746 (TVCA purchase Feb 2019)
2022 - 20,319

Terminal Passengers:
2018 - 139,549 (Last year of Peel ownership)
2019 - 147,824 (TVCA purchase Feb 2019)
2022 - 173,006

CAA January Airport Statistics:
.
Aircraft Movements 1,535
Terminal Passengers 10,730
Aberdeen 1,761
Belfast 343
Amsterdam 5,363
Alicante 2,874
Dublin 16
Cardiff 27
Isle of Man 92
Enontekio 150
Trondheim 56

Numbers continue to grow

January
Terminal Passengers:
2019 - 9,803
2020 - 10,190
2023 - 10,730

Aircraft Movements:
2019 - 1,215
2020 - 1,339
2023 - 1,535

Financial Year 2019-20 / 2022-23
Aircraft Movements:
14,227 / 17,973 +3,746
Terminal Passengers:
126,136 / 168,468 +42,332

So just two more months to come in for the Financial Year. The question is how close is it going to get to the 200k mark for passengers, certainly pass 190k, but how close to 200k. Aircraft Movements will pass 20k. Revenues will certainly have increased a fair bit over 2019-20 level.

CAA Airport Statistics for February 2023.

Terminal Passengers 10,887
Aircraft Movements 1,651
Cargo 2 Tonnes

Aberdeen 1,709

Amsterdam 5,753
Alicante 2,724

Charters:
Cardiff 165
Farnborough 40

Teesside finally appears on the freight page of the stats. It's been a fair while since Teesside last graced this page.
Cargo for the month will be greater as more was delivered by aircraft that are under CAA weight limit to count in the stats.

Financial Year 2019-20 / 2022-23
Aircraft Movements:
15,083 / 19,624 +4,541
Terminal Passengers:
136,586 / 179,355 +42,769

My apologies for the delay however, to my regret, I've had a period of time in hospital.
Hopefully I'll start catching up on individual airport statistics over the next few days.

Unfortunately I don't keep a record of load factors for MME. I have enough on my plate trying to keep records for selected routes from HUY, LPL & MAN - the latter being my "home" airport. If you have a specific route in mind I will try do some work for you.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
