Pardon the question, however I have been on holiday for a couple of weeks. Who/what/why are the National flights operating?

Many thanks

So far as I understand nobody on hear knows or is not prepared or able to say as apparently its sensitive the flights appear to arrive from various USA or European points and are loaded and depart to Houston lately via Shannon for some reason.

Whatever it is its great to see the Queen of the skies and two at the same time yesterday will probably never been seen again at BHX.

FR24 is showing an Air Transat A320 due from Montreal (YUL) on Tue 24 May at 07:15. Currently, there is no info on registration or flight number.

Kevin
Correction to my above post, the aircraft is an A321-NEO (C-GOIF, TSC70, ETA 06:39). That's the same flight number as C-GOIE that arrived on 18/5/22. I wonder if the crew that delivers this one will fly the return of C-GOIE?

Looking online, Air Transat have 10 A321-NEO's. I wonder if they will all pass through BHX for attention with STS?

I see that today's National B747 departed direct to Houston (IAH). I wonder if the previous flights that routed via SNN were because of the fuel upload problems at BHX?

Kevin
I suspect it could have been for crew changes. I noticed other National flights, for example from Frankfurt, that called in at Shannon but relatively brief stops and on the same days.

FR24 is showing an AirX CRJ2 (9H-YOU, AXY939R) due from STN at 10:27. I'm puzzled as to why FR24 refers to the aircraft as a 'Mitsubishi Challenger 850' (I've seen it use this name before). Surely, the manufacturer is Bombardier.

Kevin

Bombardier sold the CRJ series (of which the Challenger is based on) to Mitsubishi in the last couple of years.

B757 9H-AVM belonging to Jet Magic due in tonight from Iqaluit YFB to Marcel-Dassault Airport CHR.

According to FR24 the Tui flight from Dalaman G-TAWW was diverted to EMA in the early hours of today and Tui also positioning in a 788 this morning from MAN.

Looking at the playback on FR24, G-TAWW appeared to be inbound to BHX before making a right turn to EMA. Now looking at the flight history of TOM/BY541, it is listed as inbound to EMA at 03:41 from DLM (unknown) and inbound BHX from DLM at 04:22 (diverted to EMA). Is this a combination of two flights, as FR24 shows G-TAWW's next flight to be EMA - PMI at 08:10? With all the aircraft shuffling that TUI have been doing, this wouldn't surprise me.

Kevin

TOM541 is actually the Dalaman to Aberdeen flight, gives you an idea the massive issues they have at present, our 787 Friday evening Dalaman flight never departed, I wonder what has happened to the outbound 300 passengers, and the inbound passengers! TUI are in a mess!

I thought Friday evening was to Larnaca and previously Bourgas. Asking only for confirmation of the myriad changes that Tui make/are making at present.

Cheers Karl

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
