I think it would have been a Coronado. I don’t think Spantax had Caravelles but their Coronados were a common sight in the 80s, spewing dirty smoke wherever they went. As for Caravelles, the main operators at UK airports were Transeuropa, TAE and Hispania. Aviaco by then were on DC-9s and later 737s.

Coronado. I'm fairly sure Spantax never had any Caravelles, though a few Spanish airlines did.

Spantax didn't have any Caravelles. I don't think Aviaco had any B737 but one did operate for Iberia(EC-EHX) in 1988.

Quite correct. It was Spantax who had the 737s. Aviaco carried on with the DC-9 series, ending with MD-80.

Today marks the 40th anniversary of the first Concorde flight into and out of LBA.
An Air France aircraft graced our concrete with its presence on Sat 2nd August 1986.
It was very........ Windy! In true LBA fashion and the landing looked a little bumpy!
