This is the first details I have seen of operations on 26 May

26 May OR 7691 LPL-KBP 0830-1350
27 MAY OR 7692 KBP-LPL 0305-0445
operated by TUI Nederland

a Cello Aviation 737 G MISG will operate out at 0800, this aircraft has 62 seats only, so I expect this will be an exec seat configuration, and I'm sure the fare on this service will reflect that !

More information to follow, once details are released.

I understand Tui Nederland operate 3 B787s and 1 B767, a 787 would be nice to see at LPL 🙂

re Charters to Kiev

Airport bosses expect up to 20 chartered flights will be booked from Liverpool to Kiev on the day of the Reds’ Champions League final clash with Real Madrid.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) predict the mass exodus from Merseyside to the Ukrainian capital for the final on May 26 could result in the busiest day in the airport’s history.

More Kiev flights appear to be added for the end of May. One I have picked up on is an Ethiopian Airlines 787 leaving 26 May 0915-1415 return 27 May 1200-1400.

World Choice Sport are advertising flights to Kiev using South African Airways A330 and a two day trip on Vueling.

Unfortunately this flight is now operating into Manchester.

There maybe two one a London Aircraft one from Brussel...one going to LPL and the other to MAN. So far it' looks like 27 Kiev charters from Liverpool....Will be an interesting array.

any info about times and operators that you can post?

I did put some times and carrier info on further up this thread, I have that a Ukraine International 767 is due...If I see more info will post .

30 flights in total between Liverpool and Manchester for 16,000 fans doesn't seem a lot?

Not all fans will use the charters, many will make their own way there by various means. Depending on how many widebodies there are I'd say probably 8000 will use those flights and the rest will make there way via the likes of AMS and Poland and I've no doubt many will drive or catch the train.

I understand Wizz and Blue Air have also been showing connections via Eastern European points .

I'm not into football but from what I've seen in the papers there seems quite a hoo hat about not enough match tickets for LFC fans. I also understand the fares to Kiev are eyewateringly high !

Unfortunately for events like these large numbers of tickets end up going to corporate sponsors and real fans miss out.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
