well done to the England u17 lads on winning the world cup! At least our youngsters are showing some results eh! Lets hope they get regular games at top level with their clubs and arent benched by over hyped, too expensive foreign players!

I think the Under 20s are also World Champions in their age group and the Under 18s are European Champions in theirs or I might have got it the wrong way round. Fantastic achievement by all these lads. It would be great to think they'd be able to carry it through to the full England team but that's probably wishful thinking.

Bloomin heck, Jerry. You aren't changing your allegiance from Wales to England are you? I know rugby is your personal main sport but even so...............😉

Thinking your correct TLY I watched most of yesterday's game between England and Spain really good open football
A real pleasure to watch no doubt much of it will get coached out of them.

if they ever get the chance to perform regularly in the Prem. I believe that the majority of successful young players fail to realise their potential as they mature and finish up in lower leagues. With this crop though it must be hoped that several jewels will burn even brighter as they develop.

And on Friday gone and tuesday a group of youngsters performed well against 2 of the best teams in the world, especially the squad that Brazil played! Maybe the message will start to be heard, give the youngsters a chance to gel before the world cup, cut off the usuals who constantly under achieve!

They certainly defended well in those matches. Scoring goals might still be a problem though. I was very impressed with most of the youngsters and one or two of the more experienced players didn't do a bad job either.

I doubt if Southgate will take the risk of playing too many in the World Cup though. As you said, it would be fun and most interesting if he did. Some are proven winners at their own level and the winning mentality is very important. England supporters would be more tolerant of a young side too.

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
