Domincan Republic and Barbados are they cruise or holiday package flights?

But on the Thompson website they seem to be all sold out for Barbados all through sep to dec 2017. How, why?
Been bought up by cruise websites? Or they for some reason have took it off sale?
I have had a look at a website called Iglu cruise and the November ones are on sale but not September or October.

Odd! There seems to be just 2 bookable flights to Barbados. One is at the beginning of December and the other is at the end of January.

There are two flights only to Barbados. Both are cruise flights. Punta Cana , Cancun and Orlando both start at the end of March / start of April 2018 operating every Thursday Friday and Saturday with the Dreamliner

It is interesting that Thomson believe they can sell cruise flights at both CWL and BRS but not package holidays like Orlando which have always been popular.

The airport has announced their new April 2018 flights via social media . I might be reading too much into it but it says there's more to come ...

It's all down to the dreaded yield. I have no doubt Thomson could fill aircraft out of both bases to the likes of Orlando.

Yes and they know if they fly from BRS then the welsh will travel but not neccesarily the other way round. Will be interesting to see how Thomson exapand their long haul at BRS over the years. Maybe even getting to a base in the end long haul wise.

I saw a First Bristol city bus this week bearing a banner advertisement for the new Thomson route to Cancun from BRS. (Another city bus was advertising easyJet but it was a generic advertisement and BRS was not mentioned specifically).

Thomson have dropped the Tuesday flight to Tenerife during peak summer 17. Disappointing

So Thomson appears to be cutting back on TFS as easyJet is doing in July and August, although easyJet is not cutting back on its Fuerteventura and Lanzarote flights in July and August.

At present I make TFS thus: TCX 2 x weekly; TOM weekly; easyJet 3 x weekly (2 x weekly July and August), Ryanair 3 x weekly (4 x weekly in July and August as in summer 2016).

In summer 2016 the two TOM TFS flights were operated by the based TOM B738 - I don't know if the Friday flight this summer will be on the based B738 or one of the based B757s. I have a feeling that the TOM Tuesday flight was still awaiting a carrier to be announced. That might be the problem or TOM and easyJet might feel that TFS has too many flights from BRS, especially as Ryanair will operate 4 x weekly again in July and August giving a combined Ryanair/easyJet total of 6 x weekly throughout the summer.

Conns757 did say that several charter airlines were still to be announced for summer 2017. Perhaps there will be one less now that the Tuesday TOM TFS flight has been pulled (assuming my memory is not faulty regarding a pending carrier announcement on that service).

Seems odd though given that the likes of Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt have seen numerous passengers switch from there to Spanish sun destinations in the past year from all over the UK.

Could they end up using Norwegian for the Tuesday flight? And use the aircraft for a new route?

Having a based carrier with such a large network and lots of frequencies would and the ability to book packages on their flights does give Thomson more flexibility than they would have at Cardiff or Exeter.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
