Bristol: TUI Airways Route News & Base Updates

Use this prefix for new threads for Bristol Airport
Some pretty bad TUI delays at BRS. G-OOBF went down to ACE yesterday afternoon but didn’t return. G-BYAY had to position in from MAN to cover today's 757 flights. However, G-FDZX didn’t move this morning but went out to CFU early afternoon, meaning the morning MAH will be 13.5-14 hours late at best. G-OOBF is only just heading back from ACE now, 21 hours late. Today's outbound MAN-LPA on G-TUIC was also disrupted as it routed MAN-ACE-LPA-MAN, presumably to drop off parts/crew for OOBF.

Also, almost all other flights are suffering moderate delays, borderline compensation level.

G-FDZX, which was idle at BRS yesterday morning before heading out on time to CFU in the afternoon, has not returned to BRS and is still in CFU now. G-TAWG operated DUB-LGW-CFU-BRS-BHX, requiring G-TAWC to operate MAN-DUB. This is all looking rather expensive.

It'll be interesting to see if the 9 will need to stop on Cancun or not.
The layman in me suggests it will if it's heavier and carrying more passengers.

Winter season would not surprise me it will do a split load with another English airport. Just my thoughts.

The 787-9 is only for 3/4 weeks respectively next April. Easter 2020 is in the second week of April so during that period most holiday route loads ought to be good.

I wonder if it will be an advertised (planned) tech stop en route, and if it's not fully loaded and goes direct, then it's a bonus. I'd be very surprised if it could go direct, especially if the weather still isn't great at the time.

I noticed the Saturday Cancun operated today. There was no UK fuel stop and it exited via West Wales. Yesterday's Sanford, Orlando also operated. I hadn't realised they had re-started yet after their mid-summer-break.

G-TUIH B787-8 is currently inbound from Dublin according to FR24, anyone know why ?
Is it going to operate the 1245 departure to Cancun? Without Mayfly it's difficult to ascertain where the 787s position in from and to before and after their BRS five days each week.

I know some of you still look to see if CUN is going direct so I thought as it is hot, 26 degrees up here and 09 is the runway in use, I’d save you the trouble. It is going direct today.

I was in my garden a few minutes ago when the 787 began its near 180s degree left turn over the city on a gorgeous day - lovely sight. FR24 currently showing it approaching overhead Fishguard in west Wales where it will exit the UK.

3 long haul cruise flights for BRS interestingly no Dubai cruise and the same amount of caribbean flights as CWL (TUI own) except opposite for the destinations.

Cancun

North Cornwall departure today (just to the south of Bude). On Tuesday it was via west Wales (Fishguard).

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
