Quick look on FR24 suggests the 738 does it non stop.Perhaps they will use the 757 on Cape Verdi as can do it with ease. Anyone know how the 737 doing on the route as was mentioned would have to do a fuel stop.

I believe that the aircraft has been damaged and the passengers will be flying from Cardiff at 20.40 tonight.Am I correct in saying the CFU flight didn’t go this morning? G-TAWI has been idle at BRS for 10 hours.
The flight isn’t showing on TUI’s list of departures and shows a scheduled but no actual departure on FR24. FR24 indicates this was the first week of the flight but perhaps this is wrong and it’ll start later in the season?
Is that on a CWL-based aircraft? I'm presuming that G-TAWI only had this morning's Corfu route today. I can't see any other BRS TUI flights seriously delayed.I believe that the aircraft has been damaged and the passengers will be flying from Cardiff at 20.40 tonight.
It must be. G-TAWX is currently on the ground at CWL and there is a Corfu departure scheduled at 20.40 on the CWL website. Is that on a CWL-based aircraft? I'm presuming that G-TAWI only had this morning's Corfu route today. I can't see any other BRS TUI flights seriously delayed.

Many thanks for the clarification, Red Flyer. As it seems to be the topic of a little bit of confusion on various forums I thought that you would like to know that the 752 is not restricted to 189 pax and most of its departures in the past few days have actually had 221 pax .

A TUI B 757-200 travelling from Luton to Gran Canaria diverted into BRS today following illness to a passenger.
There was a bit more to it though. Initially the aircraft had reached the English Channel from Luton when the captain decided to return to the originating airport. According to the report the desecent into Luton was almost complete when the aircraft was pulled out and once more headed towards the coast. It had reached Brittany when the captain turned around again and this time headed for Bristol where the aircraft landed.
The 757 later left Bristol and flew to Gran Canaria where it landed nearly six and three-quarters of an hour after leaving Luton which the Bristol Post headline describes as a 'six-hour ordeal'. It would probably have taken around four hours had it gone non-stop.
TUI apologised for the delay and confirmed it was due to a passenger being taken ill.
Was that for fuel or are they picking up passengers on the way as they don't usually refuel at GLA.BRS-CUN gone via GLA today and is significantly delayed.

Or the original plan was MAN but they didn't have room.FR was saying diverted to GLA. I would have thought if fuel it would not show diverted and if picking up pax then that would have been planned and not saying diverted.Looking at the flight path to GLA it did not go direct as it made many turns wit the most being over MAN so I would say it had a tech issue or a medical problem..
