Bristol: TUI Airways Route News & Base Updates

Use this prefix for new threads for Bristol Airport
Dropping Canary Islands routes is a bit of a surprise.

Strange that Las Palmas stays though year round - I reckon they will add on later - Tui certainly retrenching across the board - several airports only will have seasonal canaries now

Do other airlines operate it at Bristol?

All 4 Canary Islands have 4 airlines operating from Bristol. However it seems strange to keep Las Palmas but not the other 3. Does this mean a reduction in aircraft or will new routes be forthcoming instead ?

Looking at the schedule and Bristol is down 13 weekly flights by the looks of it compared to S26 so that potentially suggests a cut aircraft. Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote resume in October possibly filling gaps made by reductions in other routes?

Based aircraft wise that'll mean TUI at Bristol will be down to 4 aircraft then.

I can see 7x flights have been removed from the schedule:
ACE (2)
TFS (2)
FUE (1)
AGP (1)
DLM (1)

- Mondays schedule remains unchanged and still requires 5x aircraft morning and afternoon. However there are now gaps in the schedule on
- Tuesday afternoon,
- Wednesday afternoon,
- Thursday afternoon,
- Friday morning,
- Saturday afternoon
- Sunday morning and afternoon.

So not a complete cut of an aircraft then?

Could either be left as a spare for disruption or some schedules change so it operates W patterns with other airports.

Changes to the schedules going on - doesn’t appear that new routes are being added and Palma appear to be departing early am and returning late pm on several more days per week - no increases to other destinations either

New route to NBE added on Sundays

Weekly
NBE was last served by TUI in 2023. This means the schedule for all five 737 MAX 8s is now complete. I make 65 weekly flights, 64 of which are bookable and a weekly Thursday flight to MLA, which isn’t. This flight appears to operate annually, likely as a cruise flight. This is only one fewer flight per week than in summer 2025, with four of the eight weekly flights to PMI operating W-patterns to other UK airports.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
