The government advised british airlines not to fly to ssh in W17 and S18. I think tom had a flight planned for S18. If this is correct I wonder where the aircraft will fly to. Watch this space.

Mexico and Florida

It seems the B788 for this weekend will be G-TUIF, Neil.

Yesterday/today's TOM SFB-BRS returned to SFB. Looks like it went out the Atlantic then turned back SFB. Not 100% sure of the reason.

the Orlando Sandford flight 375 seems to be having trouble again this week. the return leg from Sandford has gone tech with AOG. now due on 30th May according to the airport but google shows it as landing at 09:17 today. strange.

The airport website arrivals page is showing it as 'expected' 0800 (sched time of arrival 0610) and it's on today's list of arrivals. However, there is nothing to indicate that it landed then.

FR24 merely shows its arrival details as 'unknown'.

What are we to make of all that? Yet again another dreadful example of poor communication within the industry. I rode my hobby horse in another thread yesterday when railing against the awful lack of communication by BA towards its passengers during the chaos over the weekend.

Incidentally, whilst on the subject of poor communication, the BRS consultative committee section on the airport's website failed to publish either the agenda or the minutes of the last meeting held in April. After I contacted them pointing out that the committee is supposed to represent the interests of the local community amongst others, the minutes appeared the following day with an apology for their lateness. That's fair enough so long as the error is not repeated next time.

I'm still awaiting a reply from the airport as to why they have not yet published April's passenger figures on their website.

TOM 375 did not land yesterday for the simple reason that it never left Sandford. Reasons still unknown. Thats 2 weeks in a row there has been issues.

Due in tomorrow. So an extra night in Florida for the lucky passengers.

Freebird

There seems to be three Freebird rotations on behalf of Thomson each week this summer (I think it was one last summer - to Antalya on Fridays).

This summer Tuesdays see the Antalya (in 0835, out 0935), Thursdays the Bodrum (in 0810, out 0910) and Fridays the Dalaman (in 0830, out 0930).

Did we ever fined out the reason for the delay on the tom735 last week was?
I'm not aware of the reason. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

Many thanks, kraktoa.

G-TUIH, Mr Patmore, is the B787 this weekend. Let's hope there is better luck with Sanford tomorrow after the adventures of recent weeks.

The Sanford landed at 0603 this morning, seven minutes early!!:singing:

Watched it come off the atlantic up through devon and then towards bath which it lined up for the ils,and as ly says 7 minutes early. It left Sanford about 10 minutes late so made a bit if time up,perhaps had the wind behind pushing.

It's been operating with full loads, or as good as makes no difference, so far as I'm aware. I'm told the headwinds when flying westbound have been particularly strong since the BRS-Cancun route restarted last month, so it's a plus for the airport that the 787-8 appears able to reach Cancun non-stop under such circumstances.

The east coast of North America or the Middle East should be a doddle if any airline chooses to use the type on such routes in the future, even if some cargo is also carried (see separate thread re discussion about the BRS CEO's comments concerning a desire to carry cargo from his airport).

With the 2 routes operated from brs it has sure given a lot of answers to the operation of the plane from brs.No doubt Thomson are looking at things and lets hope it leads to more long haul from them.Good to hear load factors are good, and good enough to put an extra florida weekly flight on offer.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
