Interesting, I see STN-BOS has been cut for winter touted as a seasonal route only!

I have noticed AGP is showing daily right upto december 2018, was this always the case ?

So it doesnt look as if they are pulling out completely ?

AGP was always bookable till end of Dec 18

If you mean from BHX there isn't one and as far as next summer goes close to zero chance I would say give this years debacle.

The CEO of BHX should to quote someone tell them they are at the back of the que plus a bit further, but then again there is no CEO and I've no idea if there is anyone is interested in transatlantic from Birmingham at present apart from TUI and their huge Florida offering.

It is not the be all and end all but for an city like Birmingham to have ONE flight per week to North America it is slightly embarrassing sending the local up the M6 or down the M40

Possibly not but consider the businesses in the W. Midlands area that are travelling to the US with no local option. As N. York showed, economy seating would probably be filled well for any other top US destinations - e.g. Boston, San Francisco, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Chicago, even if not daily.

For the 2nd City of the UK not to have a regular service across the pond is downright embarrassing.

I'm off to London again Monday for a flight, with no option from my local airport which is a stones throw away from me

I agree, no matter that Brum is placed in the middle of England in between London and Manchester, it is a discrace that this city/airport has no direct service to the USA. (Im not including a one weekly SFB either)

The movers and shakers of this world will not take Birmingham seriously in my opinion if this situation continues for much longer.

Im not expecting BHX suddenly to announce a raft of new North American routes but to not be linked with the likes of New York is unbelievable. Hopefully this omission will be sorted soon otherwise as another poster has already spoken this would be an embarrasment.

The airport already is an embarrassment now, losing two legacy airlines with direct flights to the states to then have its pants taken down by a low-cost airline that hasn't even got the aircraft to operate the routes promised, and then those routes weren't racking up the numbers in bookings anyway. An absolute shambles.

I can see some analysis coming on over the weekend based on cities of Birmingham's Gamma Mercer ranking and their connectivity to the States, taking account of their distance to the nearest airports which offer direct services to the states. I have a feeling we will not be surprised.

I would love to see NYC LA, Boston, Seattle and even BirmingHAM (now theres a thought) on the flight boards, but I can't see it happening. United pulled out for a reason and I doubt it was an untested airline like Primera that scared them off. Ditto Transat.
