According to Fightradar24, TUI are now basing a B737 MAX 8 at Exeter, with all TUI flights over the next couple of days diagrammed for a MAX 8.
At time of posting G-TUOD is working the Exeter based diagram.

TUI and Ryanair have previously used out based B737 MAX 8 aircraft to and from Exeter, but as far as I know this is the first time a MAX 8 has been based at EXT.

I believe a Max is based for around the first 3 weeks of May, before reverting back to to a B738 for the rest of summer, apart from Mondays, when the Max operated the very early morning 00:15 Arrecife arrival, and the 06:45 Corfu departure

That's interesting to know, bearing in mind that the EXT cabin crews will have needed a conversion course to work MAX 8's.

I believe the Max operated last year out of Exeter for these 2 flights on a Monday too, maybe due to the late arrival of the aircraft into Exeter, the 737-800 is maybe too noisy, so the Max has to operate? The Max aircraft will be a BRS based aircraft.

Would doubt the B737-800 is considered too noisy to operate at EXT. Maybe if the EXT based cabin crew have now been trained on B737 MAX, ready for future TUI deliveries, then could basing a B737 MAX at EXT for a few weeks simply be a case of maintaining EXT cabin crew competencies on the B737 Max 8?

No SunExpress doesn't operate. TUI used to use Freebird for Antalya at quite a few airports.

I've compared TUI's schedule from EXT during the second week in August 2026 compared to the same week in 2025. Here are the number of departures each week with the changes highlighted.

The 2x based aircraft each operate 2x departures per day except for Tue and Wed when one aircraft operates only 1 rotation.
On a Sunday, an EXT based B738 operates from EXT-ZTH-BRS whilst a BRS based B38M operates BRS-ZTH-EXT-ACE-EXT whilst at the same time.
That means a B738 overnights at BRS and a B38M overnights at EXT on a Sunday night.
Then on a Monday, the B38M operates EXT-CFU-BRS whilst the B738 operates BRS-CFU-EMA-ZTH-EMA and an EMA based B738 operates EMA-NAP-EMA-CFU-EXT
