That leaves a gap on tues morning, so maybe a new dest or tui will do the tennerife flight instead of norweigan. The extra jet must come in empty on sunday night then leave for hurn on thurs afternoon. Their were talk around that exeter was pos getting pula, reus flights and tunisia . Flybe will be releasing 2020 next week or so, so we will see whats cut etc.

Sorry I missed that!

This is especially good news for EXT because they had no Thomas Cook gaps to plug.

Just had a phone call from a tui crew member based at exeter myfreind wanted to no if i heard the news hes just told me he heard that the second jet could be a sunwing 738 with a smaller cabin, if think their 162 seats. Looks like they have big plans for exeter. We will have t see dont no were they are going to get all the extra jets from. The max8 might not be back by then!?

Just checked sced the tennerife flight is ops by norweigan in at 13.05 dep 1405 so their must be a new route\ dest they are still to tell us about, pos pula, reus or tunisia , seems funny to bring in a jet for 4 days extra and not fill a slot. My guess it will op the tennerife flight, but cant sort out the slots yet.

Is Antalya a new route?

Word around work today airport, is that the second jet will possition to hurn on thurs night and arrive back on sunday night. This leaves room for an afternoon flight and tuesday am could be a new dest reus spain. The tennerife flight will be norweigan, also told some turkey flights will be july\ aug only. If you look at the bourn page they dont have extra flights untill friday, sat, sun.

Very good news for EXT.

Did the Antalya route actually operate this year in July & August, as there seemed to be no trace of these flights on the EXT arr/dep website page?

According to CAA stats 400 charter passengers were carried between Exeter and Antalya in July and 1607 in August. I presume this is TUI's service and that July was not a full month's operation.

Tui 737 bound for Faro this morning. Unfortunately 3 hours delayed.View attachment 15069
ROC10 posted this in the BRS TUI forum during the night. It might explain the delayed EXT-FAO this morning.

For the second night in a row, TUI’s late night (early hours of morning) arrivals into EXT have been diverted to BRS. Tuesday’s TFS (arriving 01:35 on Wed) wasn’t late so must’ve been down to weather. Rather than positioning the affected aircraft from BRS-EXT, TUI decided to use the aircraft at BRS and ferry a replacement from LTN-EXT. This resulted in a substantial 3.5 hour delay to the EXT-IBZ-EXT and hence tonight’s TFS was delayed – assuming EXT is closed so went straight to BRS.

Yes, the same has happened again. Despite the EXT-FAO being scheduled for a 07:30 departure, G-FDZR only left BRS for EXT at 09:30, meaning the FAO flight didn't leave EXT until after 10:50.

Unless they position in another aircraft for this afternoon's ACE flight, the same thing may well happen again. The inbound ACE-EXT is due in at 23:40. With the current delay, this could be as late as 3am.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
