Well surely ba can serve other routes from bhx with the e190...AndyC
They probably could, but as KARFA says, as routes start opening up again (post COVID), the aircraft will be busy from LCY (probably very profitable for BA due to high business sales) and none spare for BHX.

Doesn’t work like that though.

An airline will serve routes that suits them and will work. I’m not saying they can’t from BHX but for now they’re not willing to do any other routes from BHX at present.

Is it just me but apart from OneWorld, BA just isn’t that great of an airline anymore?
It's not just you! When BA closed their BHX base, I made a decision that I would not fly BA if I had to fly from LHR. Since then, I've flown from LHR on Malaysian, Singapore and Virgin (but not BA!). Also, I watch a lot of airline review YouTube videos and BA rarely come out well.

BA have won the race to the bottom. Two weeks ago I flew BA to Heathrow and there was no trolley service or BOB at all in economy. The cabin crew just sat in business class all the way home playing candy crush or reading. Never seen owt like it tbh.
Back in July flew Qatar to San Francisco and they are world's apart. Too good for İAG and the disparity is vast. Their onboard soft product is stunning with service second to none. Think I'd rather see more Easyjet tails at BHX.

Well BHX are making a real big thing about BA, so I think they will continue on BHD with Emerald maybe on ORK & SNN

I could only see BA adding domestics (GLA / EDI) as no BHX base and op in the same way they do on BHD

Let's just hope that other unnerved routes are announced to get more people interested...AndyC

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
