Airfield was closed 0924-1000 due lighting failure on 23R/05L. Couldn’t swap to 23L as it’s only a CAT1 approach and weather conditions were below minimums for this.
Given the amount of time 23R has been closed this summer maybe it’s worth investing in a full ILS Approach for 23L…
Impact will be felt for the remainder of the day. Issues this morning compounded by a completely inadequate number of parking positions and closed taxiway sections.
In all honesty it’s indefensible now.
