A bad decision for an airport ground transportation may easily ruin your trip on your first day of travel. While there are hundreds of car service options getting to the airport, you have to clarify some important factors before making any further booking decision.

1. Would the service guarantee that I can arrive at the airport on time?
   
   Ask whether the company has a monitor/Quality Assurance system to ensure the driver is on time. What if the driver is late, how soon would the company find out there's a delay, and how soon would the backup driver be called up?
   
   Bigger companies have more drivers running on the road. However, it may not necessarily mean the backup driver will show up sooner.
   
   
   
   
2. Service type and quality:
   
   Some of the service types may include private, non-stop and shared ride. Many people are confused about the difference between non-stop and shared ride, while shared ride is the shuttle service you ride with other passengers with multiple stops, non-stop is the service you ride with other passengers, but you will be the last in and first out with no stops ( except for airport terminal stops ).
   
   Ask how many stops maximum before getting to the destination, how early you have to be picked up, approximately how much time you are going to spend for the trip, what type of vehicle, is the driver experienced and trained?
   
   
   
   
3. Price consideration: The price comparison is based on the same or similar service. Does the price fit my budget? Are there any discounts given? Is the price moderate and fair enough comparing to the current market.
   
   Different service types have their own value. If you choose the shared ride, that may mean longer time spent on the vehicle, earlier pickup time than that of private ride, and less privacy on the trip. Therefore, stick with the same or similar type of service when comparing price.
   

These are the factors you wanted to find out before making any booking decision. If you miss any one of them, you have a chance/risk of having an unhappy trip.

Another way of evaluating is to check the service review on Yelp and Facebook. Does the company have negative online reviews on a regular basis? How long is the wait time before you can be answered on the company's service line?
