EC Study on Liquids Carriage When Flying (Survey)

Dear Readers,

o&i consulting is currently working with the European Commission to determine how best to enhance airport passenger security and allow future carriage of liquids through airports.

As part of that exercise, we are conducting a survey to understand what type of liquids passengers would carry, if permitted, when they fly so that appropriate and informed decisions can be made. The UK carriage of liquids on board aircraft currently follow EU regulations EC300 directive. It is likely this directive will continue to be followed after the UK leaves the EU. How the EU alter the rules in the future will likely impact how the government responds to the terror threat in the UK.

I did feeling a hint of sadness when I saw the options:

Europe: Non EU

Yes me too. One of the things people never really got the gist of was the term "EU Commissioner", the so-called un-elected. The term basically means Civil Servant similar to someone who works for local government. They carry out the studies and groundwork and give it to the elected EU Parliament to consider. I guess there's still a way back but it would still need to be democratically achieved.
