The last airberlin A330 to land at Düsseldorf did a low flyover of the airport. The air traffic controllers applauded but the passengers in the terminal had no advance warning and some were a little bit worried...

I am sorry Ray but this is where I get my Grinch hat on. The Christmas market in Birmingham is an absolute nightmare to contend with. I have regular appointments in town on New St every other Saturday morning and bashing my way through this market is nothing more than an absolute b***ache! Every year it is a case of the market getting bigger and bigger to the point last year it started just by the Rotunda and finished by the Council House. Yes I know it brings in revenue to the City but having to fight your way through crowds of people who don't know where they are going and getting beer splashed all over you is not my idea of fun!Only four weeks until the Frankfurt Christmas Market![]()

The Lord Jasper Carrot joke springs to mind: "ever been to St Andrews? Went there on Saturday, turned to the bloke next to me and shouted OI!"
KRO....best the Millwall....

Yes I know I am being a bit of a misery here but the space the market takes up on New Street does not make it a very nice experience for those who have no interest in the market but are in town for regular business. (rant over).
