Belfast International looks to be 2x daily next summer with a new morning flight using a MAN based aircraft, currently showing as "sold out" on their website.

MAN 06:30 BFS 07:35
BFS 08:00 MAN 09:05

More new S19 routes:

Gothenburg and Thessaloniki (Wed/Sun from April 3)
Marrakech (Thu/Sun from April 4)

In total there will be 63 routes and 350 flights per week.

I predict some fierce competition - all six new routes have an incumbent carrier!

Flew back into Manchester on Tuesday from Fuerteventura (having departed from LBA) in EI-GSF and as with the outbound FR flight it was excellent. Very friendly helpful cabin crew, nothing too much trouble, smiling polite and a credit to Ryanair. I honestly have to say over both flights from different bases, they have upped their game hugely and on recent experience they are catching Jet2 up very fast indeed. We will certainly use them again without thought.

Sadly probably not from Manchester though. T3 isnt fit for use as a cattle market, although it was only ever intended as a BA terminal, and is well out of its depth now. Pick up and drop off need to go back to how it was and that would be a huge improvement!!
Now if only FR would go back to T2:ROFLMAO:

Confirmation from the start of season Winter 2018 ACL report:

Based aircraft for the winter increase from 6 to 8 with continuation of Agadir, Belfast International, Bologna, Oporto and Treviso from S18.

Now if only FR would go back to T2:ROFLMAO:

What would actually be much better is if Ryanair remained in T3 as sole occupant whilst everything else moved to T1/T2. That would really help international to domestic connections. Ryanair doesn't require infrastructure for transfers, and the T3 gates close to the runways are prized by the airline. They love it in there. As sole occupant, they could also adapt T3 to more closely match the needs of their customer base.

Having said all that, I don't for one moment expect an early move out of T3 for domestic flights.

BTW, T3 is actually a really nice space. Best views on the airport. Decent eateries and retail. It is just too successful for its own good. Too crowded. It would work just fine as a structure if a good portion of its throughput relocated to T1 and T2.

Kiev has been added. Take 2!

It starts April 1st with the following schedule -

Monday
MAN 0745 KBP 1315
KBP 1350 MAN 1520
Friday
MAN 0605 KBP 1135
KBP 1210 MAN 1340

Apparently FR are looking for a considerable expansion at Manchester for Summer 2019 but are limited by T3 capacity.

I'll say more when I know for definite - rumours can have a nasty habit of coming back yo bite you!!

Given that MAG's long-term ambition includes enabling full airside access from the easternmost gate in T3 to the westernmost gate in post-TP T2, the sooner they remove the artificial divide between T1 and T3 the better. This would hugely improve flexibility. Since Ryanair are experiencing physical constraints already, it must make sense for MAG to fast-track the investment required to link these two terminals airside. After all, they'll have to pay up eventually anyway if the long-term vision is to be fulfilled.

Other new routes available for Summer 2019 are: Bordeaux, Goteburg, Marseilles, Nantes, Marrakesh and Thessaloniki.

On 20th November I hinted that Ryanair were looking to expand there Manchester operation, however I did say that things might change and indeed they have.

The plan was to add an additional 5 based aircraft, however this has now been abandoned due lack of terminal capacity. I understand that they are now likely to try to use extra, slightly off-peak, slots with away-based aircraft.

Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 airline, today (4 Jan) announced a new route from Manchester to Billund, with a four times weekly service commencing in April, as part of Ryanair’s Manchester Summer 2019 schedule.

Apparently the new Billund service will be using slots currently allocated to Stuttgart and Eindhoven.

Ryanair will start a 2 weekly service to Poitiers starting 2nd June every Wednesday and Sunday.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
