Just dropped off a friend who is flying back to Bergerac on Flybe after flying in from there two weeks ago. The drop and go car park cost just £1 as we stayed for less than 10 minutes, but the barrier at the exit between the multi-storey and the Ibis opened automatically without the ticket being inserted. Is this normal? I've hardly ever been to the drop and go.

Went to Dusseldorf yesterday for the day,(110 in the book), I must say what a fantastic airport, no queues, at immigration,security,passport control or anywhere.Friendly staff everywhere i went,just a great advert for Germany,well done to them!

Evening all,

Just arrived into BHX on TC-JVV from Istanbul. As it's quite a new aircraft it has the sky interior and looks good. That's where the plus points end.....for a 6 footer like me!
Bugger all leg room and hardly any seat back screens worked. Only 2 or 3 spare seats in economy and a few in business spare, so excellent load for the winter season. In comparison the older 738 from Dalaman to Istanbul this morning was TC-JGJ. Excellent leg room and far more preferable to fly on.
There was a large group coming back from DXB on the flight too.
Out of the airport in 20 mins from touchdown.....not bad at all.

Just got off TC-JYF at Istanbul. Flight quick with 90 pax in Y and 4 of us in J. Off plane on remote stand and thru immigration in 20 mins....outstanding!!!!

Now a 7 hrs wait for connection to Dalaman....Nice

Barry Beeth reporting live from Wetherspoons, airside @ BHX, on the TOM7326 to FUE. To say it's rush hour, all smooth as silk thus far, check-in, security, lounge all quick and comfortable, plenty of space to be had, so top marks to BHX. Not so the pub, £4.70 a pint!

As ever my long-haul starts at BHX but it is a pity that my short-haul requires me to haul my bag up to MAN. Wake up Ryanair and give the service we require, starting with more flights to Italy and, in particular, Bergamo.

So its Friday MAN - Bergamo, then on March 16 its BHX - Paris for overnight Paris - Rio. A quick hop on public transport from the international airport down into the city of Rio to Santos Dumont Airport for Rio - Sao Paulo, then change planes again and then the final leg Sao Paulo to Goiania. After that, it is the nearest bar and a cool litre of Brahma....

Sufficiently recovered by April 6 it will be the return: Goiania - Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo - Rio, bus to the international airport and Rio - Amsterdam and finally AMS - BHX. And again into the nearest bar for a pint of beer.

Phew....
