I have just booked onto the late Southbound to LHR on 21st November.

Just as a matter of interest, I have also just booked a flight from Tallinn to Riga flying with Air Baltic. I am quite excited about that one as, at the moment, the flight is slated to be operated by a 737-500. Great opportunity to fly a classic bird. The main reason I felt it necessary to tell you all is that the one and only time I have flown on a -500 was from LBA-LHR with British Midland at a bleary eyed 6am on 27th December many, many years ago. Even if I'm not flying LBA, I like to find the connection somewhere....

Just booked on the LHR shuttle for the first time on the 15th November to LBA and returning back to LHR on the 23rd November, very excited to use the service!

I was on the early Ryanair to Dublin this morning and it looked a totally full flight. I flew over on Tuesday night from Dublin and from where I was sat I couldn't see any spare seats at all. I really must say how much Ryanair have improved this year. I moved over to Dublin in the Summer to start a new job and I try to get home to Leeds every 2-3 weeks, even if it's just for a night. I've taken 6 return flights since July. Every one has landed early. Every one was almost full if not totally full. Boarding was simple with allocated seating and no trying to hide the hand baggage as they don't seem to care anymore! I have booked EIR flights home on the 29th Dec to give them a go but with Ryanair offering €19.98( one day last week they reduced to €14.98)return flights I'll just keep booking with them.
LBA was quieter this morning as we are now in the winter schedules but even during the Summer I was never more than 10mins going thru security. All positives.

I have been suggesting that on here for quite some time now not always to universal approval. They are in great danger of (seasonal note) killing the goose that laid the golden egg as far as their loyal Leeds passengers are concerned. Your friend is quite right to shop around as there is no excuse for some of their fares. Once upon a time I would just go and book Jet2 without checking elsewhere. Not any more though.

Well I've been avoiding that lot for quite some time unless I had no choice of course (DUS). I don't like them first and foremost and secondly they are as has been pointed out too expensive for what they are...

Monarch are now my preferred choice from LBA.

Flew up with a friend of mine on BA1342 on Friday at 1 o'clock, I would say the flight was 95% full with only a few empty seats visible! Great service once again. Flying back to LHR on the 11th January on BA1347, hopefully it will be a another almost full flight!

Sadly had to cancel my trip to Copenhagen via Amsterdam in March, however, I am making up for that by booking on to LS232 from BCN on the 4th.

Just to add my own thoughts on the Jet2 price situation - I have long been saying that Jet2's base prices have been unnecessarily high, to the point that I fell out with LBIA and he has not been seen on the forum since. HOWEVER, as I have unexpectedly found myself with 10 days spare over the festive period, I wanted to get away. Having trawled for hours through every airline in Europe, it is clear to me that Jet2 have a lower top price than any of their competitors - by some margin - and, as such, they have won my business on this occasion. This is despite my incredibly bad experience with Jet2 ground crew in November and their subsequent pathetic response.

Just booked to go to Cyprus next June with Monarch for a change, been to Paphos a couple of years ago and didnt like it , but thought i would give Protaras a try .i hope its not to quite though

My son just booked to malaga with Jet2 going 15th June for 10 days. Cost £756 including hold luggage and seat allocation.
Ryanair dearer at £814 their hold luggage costs of £280 did for them and the flight arrived at 9pm losing them the first day, in addition not back in to Leeds till midnight, against 5pm for Jet2.
Ryanair only good value if no hold luggage and Jet2 has the advantage with a family of good flight times.
Overall for this family Jet2 won, due to flight times, price included my Jet2 discount, would have been 10% more without.
We certainly used Ryanair for the first time for years last year now you can book all seats, however, they have only been cheaper then Jet2 when we have had cabin luggage only, in mid summer Ryanair hold costs are very high.

Just booked flights with Jet2 to Murcia flying in August. Very expensive this year and the only reason we haven't booked with Monarch or Ryanair is either lack of choice or availability of flights to Murcia. Looks like Jet2 is moving away from being our holiday company of choice.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
