Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Just passed through security, At 15.45 the queue was all the way back to the entrance in where the outside canopy is, took 30mins to pass through security but the queue flowed well and security was organised well, busiest ive seen the airport which ia good. Hot and sweaty in the old terminal but air con working well in the new part!
Anything new to report on in departures?

Has the rabbit warren gone?
It still is partly there which causes really awkward flow, I must say having only 2 bars in the airport is poor, I was there yesterday it took us half an hour to get drinks at Tap and Brew with the queue going outside of the restaurant, we then opted for Burger King which was not quick at all taking 15 minutes, security is very good and fast with lots of staff. It’s a shame Monty’s bar couldn’t have opened for summer as it is desperately needed.

It is frustrating but we have to expect less facilities to be available until the REGEN is completed. Fingers crossed only few weeks before the new security opens along with the new Duty Free.

Once airbourne from LBA today i Managed to take a couple of pics of the wild fires that are to the east of oldham. The smoke is drifting to the north and west covering Mancs cc but their airport is in the clear.

Just sat onboard fr5660 at alicante airport, the captains just informed us of a 2hr delay with a new slot time, mainly due to high volume of flights?any you guys in the know, info? Im aware the flight was 30mins late arriving from warsaw.
Feel for the pax at LBA as there in for a long delay, believe its an alicante based plane too.

I understand Eurocontrol has been suffering delays.

Eurocontrol has NOP Normal Operating Procedures but it is experiencing an elevated number of delays today due to congestion.

I’ve a FR LBA-REU flight booked for the 12th August to go and watch the total eclipse but I’ve had cold feet with the timings so have booked an earlier flight from LPL to
REU with Jet2 for that morning. The eclipse reaches totality around 19:30 in Reus, hopefully it’ll be cloud free but we can’t control that. Then I’m on the 22:00L FR REU-DUB and the first DUB-LBA on the Thursday morning.

There’s an even better eclipse on the 2nd August next year mid morning crossing Gibraltar, southern Spain, Tunisia and Egypt. I’ve booked 4 nights in Djerba with easyJet holidays already.

@LBAYORKIE you sent a message accidentally through the report system about buses from stand 5-6 area to the arrivals hall. I don't think their is a suitable route along the airside road for passenger pedestrians. Once fully completed the old arrivals corridor will be used for arrival and departure passengers as it will become fully connected to the new arrivals hall.

Strange! I dont have any interest in buses, are you sure it was me?

Sounds to me like someone may need some coaching!
Sorry, it was me. I thought I was replying to a post. I had understood from ACC feedback that bus movements had reduced to almost zero since the extension opened last year as most pax were now walking to the aircraft. I 'assumed' that buses were now only used to service remote stands, which 5 and 6 are not.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
