Rollo. totally agree!

Via FR24, have watched engine ground runs for the DHL 757 that's returned from Leipzig overnight. Very interesting.

According to the bhx movements blog blogspot STS will have nine aircraft in the hanger or scattered around by the end of today with two Tui 737s arriving today.

Two Wedgetails for Boeing/RAF
One Smart Lynx A333
Two ex Tui 757s
Three Tui 737s
One Tui 763 paked over at the terminal

They obviously have a good deal with Tui going and the old Elmdon site is almost an airport in itself along with the general aviation and freight traffic.

Have the England football team used BHX this weekend? They have been flying to away matches from the airport in previous international breaks.

No they probably flew from Luton as they played at Wembley on Friday so stay down there somewhere in Hertfordshire I think, not that STS would be involved anyway it would be a private charter with someone like Privilege.

Yep England use BHX when they are St Georges recently they have used Privilege Style as far as Gain Jet is concerned they are long gone from BHX unfortunately, I think now at Shannon but not certain.

Reported elsewhere that STS are moving into the old Thomas Cook hanger at Manchester with a provisional opening date in October. Great news for Manchester. With all the business recently I wonder if expansion at Brum was considered ?

I heard that BHX may go all military

If that turns out to be the case I wonder how or if that will effect Flybe as they have recently signed a line sevice and base maintenance agreement with STS I believe.

Please no, I don't do miltary, ha

They already do the two Wedgetails have been there for months although that is a contract with Boeing with a third due.at some point. Also think they have done some work on RAF Voyagers.

After the arrival of the third Wedgetail last night from Bangor Maine reported on the BHX heads up thread, today there's another Smart Lynx A333 due in from Riga for STS

Currently they have ÷

Three Wedgetails
Two Smart Lynx A333
One Lease Co. A332
One DHL 757

Info via bhxmovementsblog.

The STS hanger at Manchester becomes operational beginning of November. Mammoth Freighters of Florida mammoth777.com/news have signed an agreement with STS for P2F conversions at the old Thomas Cook hanger for B777s. Doesn’t look like it will have too much effect for the Birmingham ops, if any.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
