Thanks for the update TLY. There will have been 18 departures today as you say and below I've added to your post the aircraft used:

Ryanair: Tenerife South, Budapest, Lanzarote, Palma, Bergerac, Kaunas, Alicante, Faro, Seville, Poznan, Malaga, Gdansk, Warsaw Modlin, Dublin (x 2)
Ryanair used all 4x based B738 today, EI-DLK/DPL/ENE/EVA along with 7x visiting aircraft:
- 3x RYR B738 (Ryanair - EI-DCK/DHZ/DYV) operating from Dublin (x2) & Seville
- 3x RYS B738 (Buzz - SP-RKS/SM/SX) operating from Poznan, Gdansk & Warsaw Modlin
- 1x LDM A320 (Lauda - OE-LOS) operating from Palma - possibly a first Lauda A320 visit operating a scheduled route?

easyJet: Malaga, Faro
easyJet used 2x based A320s for the above routes (G-EZTC/WP)

KLM Cityhopper: Amsterdam
KLM Cityhopper used an E190 on todays AMS rotation (PH-EZU)

There have been a few 'sold-outs' when I've checked the seat selector for random flights. For example, today's and tomorow's easyJet flights to Alicante are shown as sold out and I remember a Ryanair flight to Palma too. It's not just BRS. Ryanair's Exeter-Malaga this morning was shown as sold out when I checked the seat selector last night.

easyJet are gradually reopening more routes from BRS. For the past couple of weeks the easyJet destinations from BRS have been Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast Int, Alicante, Malaga, Faro and Amsterdam, although not all routes have operated every day.

Today Nice reappears and tomorrow Palma, Tenerife South, Geneva and Barcelona.

In fact, Thursday sees 21 departures, the most to date post-COVID.

Ryanair: Arrecife, Venice MP, Dublin, Palma, Girona, Malta, Milan MXP, Krakow, Malaga, Faro

easyJet: Palma, Tenerife South, Alicante, Edinburgh, Belfast Int, Amsterdam, Faro, Geneva, Barcelona, Glasgow

KLM Cityhopper: Amsterdam

This is nearly one fifth of the usual daily departure numbers at this time of the year. In fact, it's probably just over one fifth of seating capacity as the turbo-props that make up the departure numbers aren't operating at the moment, other than Loganair a few times a week to Aberdeen.

CMV the cruise operator that owned Marco Polo has gone into administration. The Marco Polo regularly came into Bristol docks so I presume there must have been passengers using the airport to board or leave the ship.

The Marco polo has been laid up due to the covid 19 for 4 months in Avonmouth. There was passengers fly into BRS to join the ship but dont know how many. Would think Easyjet and Ryanair would be the biggest losers

I presume that a lot of crew would also sign off and on at Bristol docks. As most crew these days are from non EU countries it will affect KLM too.

easyJet operated to these Spanish destinations today despite the latest Government guidance re non-essentail travel:

Palma, Arrecife, Murcia with Mahon and Barcelona due to operate later today

TUI cancelled its Palma flight.

Inevitable I suppose given the situation in Spain. When I looked yesterday only 70 seats were shown as occupied on the easyJet 235-seat A321 to Arrecife.

The non-Spanish routes seem to have healthy loads though with many well into the 90% seat occupancy and some sell-outs, and with more non-Spanish routes coming back this month that trend ought to continue - unless the government decides on quarantine from more countries.

This time of year it would be expected that most of the holiday route flights be heavily loaded but as these aren't normal times there is no template with which to compare.

How long easyJet and Ryanair will continue to operate to Spain and its islands possibly depends on the government's attitude to Spain changing in the near future. Flying out aircraf that are one-third full obviously isn't calculated to be viable for too long, unless a lot of people have already paid for seats but decline to travel and operating, rather than cancelling the flights with the fare refunds potentially payable, is the better option for these airlines.

Around this time in the summer there are plane loads of Young spanish and Italian students who come to the UK to study English. That sector is practically wiped out too.

I checked the BRS airline departures for the past seven days using FR24 and the BRS website and found that there was a total of 320 departures, and broadly the same number of arrivals although some TUI flights might have returned empty as they were the first of the truncated season.

In summary easyJet operated 193 departures, Ryanair 98, TUI 13, KLM 7, Blue Islands 4, Wizz Air 3 and Loganair 2. The daily breakdown is below.
