There has been a constant stream of exotic aircraft overflying heading to Scotland for the Climate Conference

Just checked before I go to bed and the following will be overflying Leeds at 2055-
Indian Government Boeing 777-300 VT-ALV(India 1) flying at 38000' from Rome to Glasgow

Flying virtually alongside it is Airbus A.318 Elite LX-LTI(Togo 01)

At the same time as the two mentioned above heading North-

Heading South is Qatar A.319CJ A7-HHJ out of Inverness

Most curious though is an aircraft which appears to have flown overhead Leeds about 30 minutes ago, A.319LR 4K-8888(Azerbaijan 4013) which has been holding at 13000 over the lake district. This now appears to be heading to Prestwick along with Lithuanian Air Force Falcon 2000EX LT-O1(Lithuanian 101)

Another one just passing over LBA(2110)- Boeing 777-300 PK-GIG(Indonesia 1) routing from Rome to Glasgow

"Air Force 1" has just passed slightly West of LBA at 34000' out of Rome for Glasgow and is followed by 09-0016(SAM 46) a Boeing 757(C-32A) which is about to pass directly overhead(1033). Also following closely behind is a Greek Air Force Falcon 7x.

Never heard as much b******* out of cop26! I know how we can solve the so called climate emergency although my words on here might be too much so will remain quiet, but if these leaders wanna do something useful they could go out and pick up all the sh*t and mess off the streets of glasgow! And at the same time sort out the drug and alcohol capital of europe! Do my head in the lotta them!

I can't help thinking how much CO2 has been generated by all these aircraft heading to Glasgow, mostly carrying not too many people there and the same coming back, not to mention the US Presidents huge motor cavalcade every time he moves.
Better get planting 50,000 trees to make up for it, just as LBA will do if the new terminal is approved. Or maybe aviation isn't quite the problem they tell us it is.
I wonder how Greta Sodding Thunberg got there! Walked perhaps. Judging by the way she is idolised she can probably walk on water, so the North Sea wouldn't be a problem for her.

According to Boris the World is one minute from midnight away from extinction due to climate change. He obviously forgot to put his clocks back. On a more serious note these climate change evangelists have got to realise that aviation is essential in the modern World. By all means make it “greener” but over a reasonable and practical timescale so fuel and electric technology can be developed and matured, not the headlong rush we’re seeing now in most areas before affordable alternatives to fossil fuels are available together with the required infrastructure. Electric cars are a prime example with eye watering prices compared to their petrol and diesel equivalent models, even with the £2,500 Government grant. We need to ensure that aviation doesn’t follow down the same road and that it remains affordable to all, not just the privileged few.

The only way of dealing with climate change is POPULATION CONTROL, the more of us there are the worse things will get, but can you imagine our governments mentioning this.
By keeping the planets population under some sort of control together with ever improving green technology we would have a chance, but im afraid to say this will not happen, i do fear.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
