Well as I understand it, LBA staff are working on the assumption that flights start from 6th August, but will 'believe it when they see it'. I also understand that the airport is now equipped to handle an A330, but still no announcements at either LBA or EMA. One of life's little mysteries. Meanwhile, it's still a subject which LBA have declined to reply or comment in response to my enquiries.
You realise this raises the hopes of any plane geeks (me included) on here? I know you’re not suggesting anything either way, but the optimist in me says there’s still a chance of this happening!

If LBA have declined to reply on this subject that means they know something, if nothing was happening then they would reply.

Seen it mentioned on here somewhere that it’s rumoured they will be using a Jordan Aviation A330-200. That airline has two such aircraft JY-JVB which is in regular service on the Birmingham/DSA-Islamabad routes with a full economy class seating arrangement and JY-JVA which is currently showing as “parked” and does not seem to
have flown for some time. This may suggest it is available and also has a first/business/economy class figuration which fits with the videos mentioned above. This could be significant or something or nothing!

Further to my post a few weeks ago, I’ve just returned from Pakistan this morning.

There still is no sign of any advertising in Islamabad Airport or surrounding area. None of the staff in the hotel, our airport station manager or the Dnata ground staff were aware of a new airline starting flights to the UK, never mind who IPS Airways are.

That still doesn't mean the flights are definitely not happening. When airline Shaheen Air International operated from Leeds they sold the majority of seats through travel agencies in Bradford and I think Luton. I can actually recall a coaches coming from Luton for some flights.

Crazy to think that we have 8+ inbound flights from Belfast tomorrow.

07:55 - Belfast City - EI3670 = ATR72-600
08:15 - Belfast City - BE731 = Embraer 175
13:50 - Belfast Int'l - EZY289 = Airbus A320
16:40 - Belfast City - EI3676 = ATR72-600
16:50 - Belfast City - BE735 = Embraer 175
18:00 - Belfast City - BE737 = Dash 8-Q400
19:05 - Belfast City - EI3678 = ATR72-600
21:25 - Belfast City - BE739 = Embraer 175

That is a serious amount of seats to fill

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
