Exactly what Wifey & I said about Ryanair. They do exactly what it says on the tin, they get you there and back and on time.

Must have been odd occasions because they have always been spotless when we have travelled with them.

Are they still pushing you to buy those scratch cards?

It's been a while since I've flown with Ryanair but the last time I did it seemed as if they were asking every 15 mins or so

Oh yeah they are.

They do pretty well from selling food and drink though on the flights, they must make alot with the prices they charge.

AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL NEXT I THINK ON KLM OR FLYBE but will i beable to find a flight for £19.95 ??????
I dont think so, LOL

I think you'll be looking at over £100 with either :s_sad

BMIBaby used to offer some great fares to AMS, I used them on quite a few occasions. Their fares to Scotland were also very attractive when compared to the competition.

Flybe do seem to be towards the top end of the pricing scale, especially to the casual traveller who is open to which destination they go to.

Re: My day trip to Dublin on 2/9/2015

Brum X said:
I was up at 04.15am to start my day, feeling excited.

On my bus at 05.20 (The new 900 buses are fantastic)

Bus arrives at BHX 05.45

Another busy at Birmingham Airport begins.

Flights departing BHX upto 10.00am

Quickly went through security, took 2 mins and got a coffee from All bar One and this is what i saw

On this side of The International Pier, there were x 2 Lufthansa A321 aircraft, i can only assume one was for FRA and the other MUC.

Lots of aircraft departing just after 06.00am ready for the big boys to arrive shortly, not so the case for the UA026 from Newark which was delayed.

GOOD MORNING BIRMINGHAM, wakey wakey. I can hear alarm clocks going off all over the city. Some people however who works in Airports and like crazy plane spotting folk have been up since 04.00am

AA arrives from JFK (On time) at the annoyance of United staff.
[URL=http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/BrumXX/media/DSC_0277_zps5sksqbu7.jpg.html]

By now, one hour had passed and ready to walk over to the other side of BHX where Flybe/Ryanair depart from via All Bar One to grab another coffee.

To board my flight, those lucky people on the other Ryanair are off to Faro on the sunny warm Algarve.

Off we go (sorry for the quality) and Air Transat arrives from Toronto.

Departing off Runway 33

Typical Ryanair noisy chaos

WECLOME TO DUBLIN (fáilte roimh dublin)
Its a rather cool September morning, even cooler than BHX, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Baggage reclaim much bigger than BHX with 10 large carousels, however its low ceilings and rather dim lighting doesnt make it feel very welcoming.

Hope you enjoyed folks, aircraft photos will follow shortly on the DUB thread.

:coco:

Lovin the photobook Brum X. Great idea!

Lovin your pictures. I didn't realise the Tu154 was still flying. It was one of my favourite aircraft types when I was a kid.

Thanks for posting them Ray :)

I haven't been around for a while and not taken any BHX stuff. Thought I'd go out yesterday and get some shots round the perimeter (actually found the path down by the railway line)

Nice view now that the Hanger has been demolished :)

The view from the car park is fantastic now that the hangar has gone, it would be great if they would demolish the other one too

It's a nice walk along the path by the railway and there are some good views. It's also a handy way of getting to the viewing area without paying the hefty car park charges :good:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
