The perfect opportunity for Flybe to run a NCL-BHX-SOU/EXT shuttle?

The route would return, it would be split with another destination for more pax and could give a needed boost onto long haul?

I'm amazed Flybe don't do this route anyway. BHX to Newcastle by road is a pig of a journey. If they can do seasonal to Newquay (I wish they did all year round!), then why not BHX to Newcastle? Useful for lots of business travellers as well as leisure.
That said, Eastern's fares were really pricey - last time I checked typically £300 return!

Well it's made the BHX press release but no frequency mentioned and I couldn't find it in Amadeus.

Additionally, Eastern Airways will offer Aberdeen to Birmingham which was formerly operated by Flybe. Flights will all commence next week with the schedule released for sale imminently.

Eastern Airways has also announced four further new routes providing continuity and regional protection as they were formerly operated by Flybe. The Southampton-Manchester and Southampton-Newcastle will both begin initially with twice daily services, starting very rapidly on Wednesday 11 March 2020. A daily through service from Southampton to Aberdeen will also commence on 27 April 2020 giving Eastern Airways five routes from Southampton from April.

The new twice daily Aberdeen-Birmingham flights commence on Monday 16 March 2020. All new routes are also now bookable on Eastern Airways’ website and will show increased frequency up to four-daily in the coming weeks, while further additional routes will be added to help restore key regional connectivity.

Interesting that the internal routes are being snapped up but less happening internationally. Then again with all the international flight cut backs just about everywhere, it is no surprise. Just have to wait and see the lay of the land once the current crisis is over.

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
