The forever faulty/going tech Jet2 Boeing 757-200, G-LSAG has just been repositioned from Manchester into Leeds as EXS51B this morning.
Meanwhile Boeing 737-300F, G-CELW has just positioned out to Belfast Int'l as EXS48A. She has spent the past 2 weekends here at Leeds for some reason.

RAF Linton on Ouse based Tucano, ZF171 landed 13.10, then was parked on stand 1 until it departed back out at 17.00 using flight no "LOP07"

It was visiting as part of a training exercise between LBA and RAF see the following tweet posted on the airport's feed earlier this afternoon.

Very informative mutual training between LBA & @MCOLintononOuse today; RAF ATC and flying school representatives visited in a Tucano.#avgeek

Disturbed my Emmerdale / Coronation Street viewing !
I thought the military closed after 1700 on weekdays and go home for the weekends.

We have a Gainjet Boeing 737-400 booked in to LBA on Sunday, November 6th: ETA 00:50z / ETD 22:50z

Looks to be connected to WWE wrestling as they are visiting the First Direct Leeds arena on same day.

Well it couldn't have been properly closed as there was a Flybe departure to Belfast that was airborne at 1118. There were no arrivals due after 1040 until after 1200 so perhaps they were taking the opportunity to do some minor maintenance work.

The must have found another hole in the concrete, as found out that the reason it was closed for 30 mins was due to them undertaking emergency runway repairs, yet again!

Also understand that inspections of runway have been undertaken recently. This is for the planned overnight annual winter runway works once again.

Also see Monarch Airbus A321, G-OZBI positioned in this afternoon as MON750P from London Gatwick to operate the MON7508/7509 Cyprus-Larnaca service.

Guessing Leeds based Airbus A320's G-OZBX may have gone tech seen as the other G-ZBAU has operated this evenings Faro service.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
