So why was the evening Aberdeen service diverted to DSA lbaspotter, given that the weather at LBA was fine, everything else got in, and if it was a tech issue, LBA's runway is plenty long enough for a Jetstream 41!

Nowt to do with me was that yesterday movements message White Heather think it was posted Aviador. By way I agree with you that no flights diverted to Doncaster yesterday evening as you rightly point everything landed. :whiteflag:

Alphanumerical callsigns are available on the LBAspotters site. Information provided here may not be 100% accurate.

I think that there is a glitch on Flight Radar 24 which for some reason thinks that as the aircraft approaches from the north and overshoots the airfield to come round when landing on 32 it is diverting to DSA. The Eastern aircraft seem to be tracked often by 'EGGP49' which appears hugely inaccurate and they 'freeze' at just over 4,000 feet before disappearing maybe 5 or 10 minutes later. Perhaps the radar system assumes a diversion because it can no longer see the aircraft on approach to 32 and the last recorded heading was towards DSA. I see that according to Flight radar, last nights 20.45 arrival from Aberdeen also diverted to DSA. I suspect it didn't because it departed only a few minutes behind scheduled time from LBA to ABZ this morning!!

Leeds-Bradford based Jet2 Boeing 737-800WL, G-JZHD was due to go to Doncaster-Sheffield for some crew training today operating as EXS300T but it looks like they have now headed up North to Glasgow Prestwick instead.

I have just seen two Cessna 208 aircraft depart runway 32 and climb to FL120. They are N248JP and N445JP both heading north. Maybe trans atlantic ferry flights. Rather them than me ! I also saw a BN defender low over Tinshill around 1500 today and I am pretty sure it was landing or departing from Lbia. Boeing B757 G-LSAK departed around 1600 as the LS049A and is southbound after routing towards ireland at FL380 toward the Canary Islands, does anyone know why ?

The two Caravans were on delivery from Russia back to new owners in USA. Formerly RA-67181 and RA-67187. Arrived from Dresden as a fuel stop and due to then head to Wick.

When was the last time we had a Saab 340 on the deck? Personally I can't think of one since BMI Regional used them.

Did Flybe/Loganair fly Saab's to LBA at some point?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
